⭐ #NKBTBMarch : Book food The Queen of Hearts was known for her delicious tarts. The top one is actually a sweet potato filling (something I never liked as a vegetable but it works in a tart). P.S. I forgot that I missed this prompt! So I have posted it today...
#NKBTBMarch 17 : Tradition . We have a few bookish traditions, but my favorite is that we (almost) always read the book before watching the movie and drinking hot cocoa. It's quite satisfying for me to watch 7 gesture angrily at the screen while yelling, "That is NOT what happened in the book!!" . With Percy Jackson though, we watched the movie first. I touched on this briefly in my blog post today, but I want to give a little more detail here. We're still mid-Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets so it'd be a while before we can start the Percy Jackson series. So, we watched the movie last week. . I remembered from reading it before that Percy Jackson has dyslexia. What I didn't remember was that he, like 7, has ADHD. Seeing the way 7's face lit up when he saw someone on screen admitting he's like him and then saving the world... That look on his face is the best thing I've ever seen. . Instead of hearing he should calm down or be still or focus or try harder or think different or *be* different or (the one I hate the most) "There's something *wrong* with you," he saw "I have ADHD. I have dyslexia. And I saved the world because of that, not in spite of it." Rick Riordan is 100% an auto-buy author for me from now on for as long as he releases anything for giving 7 and I that moment.
⭐ #MarchBookstagram :Green Sea of Books || #MarchOnBooks: #SeaOfGreen I don't have enough green books to make a sea...so a bay, maybe? . ⭐ #NKBTBMarch : Tradition Celebrating my favorite tradition - storytelling
#marchbookstagram 16 : Yellow & Gold . #NKBTBMarch 16 : Book Food . Sansa loves her lemon cakes, doesn't she? And before you ask, yes. These were made from scratch. . I was (sort of) tagged by @bookplaces (check out their feed because 😍) to do the #spellyournameinfictionalcharacters and it looks SO FUN and also a bit difficult. I tag you, who are reading this now! . Kai (Gates of Thread and Stone) Inej (Six of Crows) Tella (Caraval) Theodore (Noteworthy) Yeong-hye (The Vegetarian) . Boarding School: Hogwarts (quit pretending to be surprised) Books on my TBR: (for March anyway) Spindle Fire and The Ship Beyond Time Needs their own series: Voldemort (I love a good villain origin story) Orphan: Kashmir (The Girl From Everywhere) Finished already?: The Hate U Give (twice in a day and a half 'cause 😍💕)
#marchbookstagram 15 : Orange Books . #NKBTBMarch 15 : Bookish Spiral . We're already halfway through March! Where did it go? And where did this weather come from?! It doesn't snow here but it's REALLY cold out. Like... hot cocoa and a Costco blanket cold. I'll probably spend my day attempting to finish writing chapter 2 of my WIP while I wait for my Twitter poll to finish. (Head over there and vote on what I should read next!) . Yes, I realize this description is not book related. I'm okay with that if you are. Or if you aren't. The books are orange and spiraly. . What are your plans for today?

#marchbookstagram 14 : Red Books . #NKBTBMarch 14 : Reading Nook . Happy Pi Day!! I don't really have a reading nook... I just read everywhere. I do, however, have this beautiful settee (which no one is allowed to sit on). So, I decided to pair that with a few of my favorite red books, whether they're from my TBR list or my read and much loved list. . What is one of your favorite red books?
