After we rushed her in for emergency surgery yesterday for a complete hysterectomy, this morning she stood up for the first time 😊. We posted her original story yesterday. She was used as a breeding machine, and was in distressful labor for 24 hours. After the stillborn puppies were surgically removed, her filth of an owner, who is just a breeder asked that her infected ovaries be kept in so she could continue to be bred- a decision that almost cost her, her life. She became septic and needed to be rushed back into emergency surgery to remove her ovaries- that is when we took her case on. The next few days are crucial to her healing, she will be on heavy duty injectable antibiotics- Amikacin , and IV fluids. Our vet placed several drains in her to drain our any leaking fluid from the surgery site. We are all so hopeful that she will pull through this awful ordeal.
