im really good at two things and thats reserach and really big lists so ive joined the fight of trans and intersex people on the side of trans and intersex people

(there needs to be a better word for gear thats like binders, discs, packing, breast forms, bras, shapewear, underwear, etc cause this stuff isnt even specifically trans anyone can use it all its just i really dont know what to call it for a more general all encompassing word)

Casually came out as nonbinary as coworker number 2 today!

Maybe at some point it will be a bit less of a word vomit, but not yet I guess.

I also brought up to my mom that I had considered going by a more neutral name/nickname. Pyper is great, but widely assumed to be fem.

She said she almost named me Lorelie-lee (however it's spelled) and mentioned that my middle name (Leal) was influenced by the numerous men and women on her side who had some variant of Lee in their name.

So uh, contemplating asking people to call me Lee? It's a shortened version of my middle name (you try saying Leal, rhymes with reel. It's hard.), and it has some family history to it, and was going to be part of my name until my mom changed her mind at the last minute.

Any opinions?

well I came out as non binary to my family recently (this went not as bad I thought) but my sister asked me if I'll change my name and I was like wtf ??

I always hated my name, I always wanted to change it, I never identify myself to it and I never knew why until now

Her simple question was like a punch in my face cos now I'm a adult and I can legally change my it, I just don't know..... ? How can people choose their name ?

Quick question: am I male passing like this? I don't have enough for a binder and I can't figure out bandage by myself, so im improvising with a interior shirt way too small folded over 3 times and then another tight interior shirt, I don't think it's healthy but I only plan to use it twice while I'm on a trip to see how comfy I am being read as male.. thoughts?

If your parents/friends/family do not accept you for who you are, kick their asses to the curb. I'm your mother now and I will call you the name you choose, use your preferred pronouns, hug you when you're sad, and kick the shit out of anyone who dares to disrespect my children. If you're not happy with the family you have, you're more than welcome to become a part of mine. I have a strong network of people you can turn to for anything you may need. I can't pretend to understand your struggle, but I'm sure as hell going to do everything in my power to help you through it.
