Hey, so I'm a broke "witch" (I guess?) I'm looking for info that is accessible about witchcraft that is distinctly non Wiccan and free of the use of closed practices, terf or radfem ideology, gender inclusive, and not antisemetic or white supremacist? I've been having a lot of trouble finding reliable sources, and if I'm being honest, idk what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any info or sources or advice? I feel really lost lol

Anti-Anxiety Spell Jar

full disclosure: this is one of my first spell jars, and I made it according to the materials I had access to, and what I wanted from it. You may use this recipe as a guide or follow it directly, whatever works for you. I made this jar to help with more than just everyday worries as I struggle with an anxiety disorder

Ingredients:

- pink himalayan salt. for cleansing

- sea salt. also for cleansing

- oats. i couldn't figure out what this was for, but i liked it, so i added it

- tiger's eye chunk (i only had one small enough for the bottle, lol). to collect negative energy

- amethyst. also to collect negative energy, and to soothe/relax

- rose quartz. self-love

- lavendar essential oil. to calm

Sealed with a purple taper candle

Witchy help please?

So I've been interested in witchcraft for a longggg time, but I kinda feel like I've come full circle research wise and still know absolutely nothing 😂 so I'd be very grateful if anyone could recommend good resources to learn about non-wiccan (nothing against Wiccans, its just not for me!) witchcraft. I'm from England and a Hellenic Pagan, so particularly interested in any kind of historical witchcraft from those places, but anything is great! (I know of the Magical Papyri, but can't afford a translated copy atm!). I've also read about the Cunning Folk, and from what I've read there were practices associated with them from before it all became so influenced by Christianity? Does anyone have any resources on that?

I'm just interested in finding out about any of those practices-anything with a historical basis that isnt Wiccan and isnt Christian, and isn't appropriated from a closed culture- from what I've heard it was mainly curse tablets and herbs we know about from ancient greece, and amulets, herbs again and 'enchantments'? in pre-Christian Europe?

Also, I know a lot of the differences between witchcraft and wicca, but are all those spells and ingredient correspondences we see all over tumblr inherently Wiccan too? Does candle magic have historical basis, is bath magic and roses being associated with love new-fangled? If not..what do they belong to? Where do they come from?

I know I probably sound very ignorant, and honestly I feel it 😂 but I very much want to learn and don't know if anything I'm clicking on is based on anything, or just kinda.... new-agey.

Nothing against Wiccans, but I’m not one, and as such am tremendously tired of only ever finding Wiccan-centric books and am dying for books to devour which are both useful, informational and do not centre around a religion which I am not a part of.

How do you go about finding out about your soul/past life correspondences? Is there a specific method of divination? A series of yes/no questions? Reaching out to someone or something?

Creativity Spell Jar

Full Disclosure: this is one of my first spell jars, and I made it according to the materials I had access to, and what I wanted from it. You may use this recipe as a guide or follow it directly, whatever works for you. I made this jar to help me be more creative, as I am an artist struggling with, y'know, creativity.

Ingredients:

- ginger (powdered, specfically)

- cinnamon

- citrine (lots of it, but mainly just because I happen to have a lot of it, lol)

- orange essential oil (as a substitute for lemon oil)

- thyme (leaves)

Sealed with a yellow taper candle
