Morning Meditation | Transforming Difficulty
Sitting. Breathing. Watching. Feeling. Sensing.
Meeting pain. Naming fear.
Sitting. Breathing.
Holding sorrow. Letting be.
Sitting.
Breathing.
The path is here.
Let it be.

Those who have found the source of love within themselves are no longer in need of love. And they will be loved. They will love for no other reason but simply because they have too much of it — just as a rain cloud wants to rain, just as a flower wants to release its fragrance, with no desire to get anything. The reward of love is in loving, not in getting love.
Osho
The purpose of nonresistance doctrine in my childhood was not to reduce suffering. It was to maximize recruitment efforts and reinforce persecution narratives that kept the group closed and contained.
Violence that helped in those two efforts was also acceptable and, often, encouraged.
In fact, you were commanded to be thankful for any suffering you endured for the cause. It was felt that in the end (like The End, the end of time, the afterlife, the apocalypse, the return of God, etc.) being a part of the group ensured your ultimate safety and well-being and happiness. If that came at the price of suffering during this life, usually from abusive training techniques and punishments, so be it.
This ties into the main reason I left: I think this life is worth being okay in too.
“In an absolute sense, everything happens quite spontaneously. You don’t need to think about it. When you’re in a deep state of realization, the reason life seems to flow for you is because you’re not resisting it.”

Everything that you feel has been meant to be embraced. It has not been meant to push away and to deny and to suppress and to judge. Everything, every feeling that you experience is here to teach you about where you are, where your conscious mind is, where you are flowing your attention… Remember, what you give your attention to is usually what will grow and what will expand. And what you’re trying to control usually gets worse… Everything that you’re experiencing, you’re experiencing for the opportunity to transcend it and let go of it so that you don’t have to feel stuck in your body with your thoughts and mind, so that you don’t have to be controlled by anything or anyone… I realized what was really controlling me was the way I was looking at the situation. When I learned to become more nonresistant, when I learned to have tea with my fear, when I learned to have tea with with anger, when I learned to say, “Anger, what are you trying to teach me? What am I afraid of? Why am I afraid of that? What am I trying to control? What do I need to transcend?” When I started looking at my emotions in that light, embracing them like I would friends, that’s when my mind began to shift. 1) What are my top 3 fears? 2) Why do I fear that? (Identify your attachments) 3) What am I trying to control? 4) Try to let go of that thing you’re trying to control. …Becoming nonresistant will save your sanity. It’s not easy.
