Yes, there are decent and good people in the PCU - in fact, the majority of them probably are. What's troubling is why such people would be comfortable complicitly huddling under the banner of some really bad apples and why there isn't a movement to remove said bad apples. This is what renders the whole "anti-PCU people are just as bad" argument null, because while the anti-PCU people for sure host a number of problematic individuals as well, the anti-PCU people aren't a real organised community in the sense the PCU are. They don't assemble in the same capacity, they don't scheme in the same capacity, and they don't try to exert their influence in the same capacity.

Fascist pieces of caca are bad, and if you're comfortable associating yourself with them for the sake of "quality" roleplay (you can easily find just as high if not higher quality roleplay outside the PCU), then do I have news for you...

While we won't go into the percentages as some guilds are more known for housing noxious and puerile individuals than others, we will not dispute there are decent people and even good roleplayers inside the PCU. We wholly agree with this statement here however regarding the lack of action from within to remove and/or distance themselves from the extremist, racist, sexist and bigoted individuals.

We have used the Mitläufer analogy before, as you succinctly described it here. For many it is just convenient to be a fellow traveller and not rock the boat, even if they dislike the bile their fellow members are using. However there is also a point to consider that many of the worst members of the PCU have on average a degree of seniority and prestige, in addition to being high ranked positions in many of their guilds.

It is totally understandable why these otherwise decent people would not speak up against them when such actions would invariably have them chastised and mocked at best and actively bullied out of the PCU and harassed even afterwards at worst. That doesn't excuse inaction, as there are plenty of ways of opposing the excess of the PCU as we have had with contributors here, giving insider evidence on their goings on.

The PCU's diehard fanatics love to paint every single person who speaks out against them these days as being "COAD readers" or "part of COAD" which while we find incredibly endearing that we've occupied such a large piece of their minds, this is of course wholly inaccurate. We hold an open door to any contributor or individual who wishes to share their thoughts with us. No small degree of said thoughts are disagreements, uncertainties about us or the amusing minority - baseless insults and accusations.

The PCU should be happy that those who oppose them are -not- organised because they would quickly find the server unmanageable for themselves. Of course there is nothing wrong with such an organised bloc from our opinion, provided it is not promoting harassment or sinking to their level of abuse. There is nothing wrong in keeping people informed, aware and vigilant of a community that they want nothing to do with and said community has shown in the past an almost obsessive desire to control everything around it, and was even created for that express purpose, to control all the resources for roleplay on Argent Dawn.

Whether or not the PCU talking heads and leaders agree or disagree their community has a strand of players who have shown very fascistic tendencies and exaltation of said policy and we have shown ample evidence of more than a handful who have engaged in emulation of fascistic signs, signals and gestures to indicate said support. If you are comfortable being around these types of players for the sake of a voluntary hobby, then there might be news indeed to tell them.

It would seem there has been something of a stir over our PCU guild list going public, especially in regards to the Ebon Onslaught. We were informed by a source over our official discord feed that the EO were in fact in the process of disentangling themselves since the departure of Arindha. Recently however it seems that the PCU have tried to downplay the statement made in Arindha’s name as being fake. “kaz” makes a very good observation however about the situation. Why Arindha of all people to impersonate? And how did they get the sentiment entirely correct, that there is discontent within the Ebon Onslaught and they wish to leave? Both kaz and “Pragmatism” offer between themselves a very interesting consideration, it is more likely that a relatively unknown and clearly uninterested in politicking guild leader would make a statement of regret reflecting the overall state of affairs than someone attempting to impersonate them.

As the PCU have shown repeatedly on the Xoyondo board, for those frequent viewers, they are the only ones (with the exception of a small band of people obsessed with Agitator) who go out of their way to impersonate people. Our sentiment from the team here at CoAD generally reflects the two mentioned posters. We fully support the Ebon Onslaught’s desire to disentangle themselves from the sinking PCU ship, the first of many to come no doubt. We sincerely hope they find fruitful and enjoyable times outside of the grasp of Perroy and his cult.

Continuing the topic of genuine anti-PCU sentiment

We would like to share our own thoughts regarding Argentdefenders very pertinent and insightful post.

It cannot be entirely unexpected for various larger Horde guilds to publicly display that they are “Anti-PCU” as a means to try curry favour with an already more limited pool of players on Argent Dawn Horde. The PCU is far more dominant in the Horde scene due to the long term presence of the Rotgarde and Hand of Conquest and due to the culture of RP being more concerned around guild roleplay over open world roleplay.

Though it does come across as strange that if groups like the Forlorn Order are actually anti-pcu that they do not advertise that as such, or enforce such policy. As highlighted we originally took the the case of Sathrynn is someone very much a PCU fellow traveller, that being sympathetic to the individuals, goals and methods performed by another group and in turn gains tangible rewards for association with said group. We then decided to go deeper and we found that far from being merely a fellow traveller today, Sathrynn was in fact a member of the Highblood Myrmidons. Clearly their distance from the PCU is not as cleanly cut as they like to portray.

With this in mind, with irrefutable connections to the PCU with Sathrynn ( glancing at their twitter feed confirms this, art commissions, retweets and harassment of other players) and they obviously have anti-CoAD anti-exposure group biases because they have still retain an investment in the PCU cult. It should also be stated the reaction from CoAD and ADAgitator is completely justified considering we were the groups being derisively referred to in the first place.

It should be noted that we are not attacking the Forlorn Order, nor do we consider them inside the PCU but some long deliberated advice from the CoAD editor team would be as follows -

If your guild stance is as “Anti-PCU” as claimed, then start acting upon that rather than using it as a convenient lure while as Argentdefender succinctly put it  “take directions from the same playbook.” in terms of behavior, while housing clearly players who have not fully uncoupled themselves from their PCU cult fantasies.

That said we praise the GM of the Forlorn Order for making it clear that they do not approve of the PCU, words are simply that ultimately. We hope that the Forlorn Order will continue this good stance and join the #NoPCU movement as a result.

400th Post Milestone

As of the previous post, we have attained 400 posts detailing the vile, hypocritical, bigoted and often bizarre behaviour of some of the worst amongst us on the server. Of course this could not be possible without you, the good and decent readers of CoAD, giving your continued and much welcomed support to our cause.

Across the server community the ongoing collapse of the PCU continues, and together with maintained vigilance against their disgusting fascistic behavior and harassment tactics we will see that collapse continue. The #NoPCU movement only grows with each passing week, more and more communities, guilds and individuals turn away from interacting with these bullies.

The editor team would like to once more gave a humble thank you from the bottom of our hearts towards all you great people who make up the better majority of our community. Together we will clean up Argent Dawn and build a better, more tolerant and inclusive place for all players.

Recently we were given a considerable submission by a contributor who wishes to remain anonymous, so we shall we be using the name Insider Intel. Once more the bullyboy, monopolistic cult like behaviour of the PCU drives players to  take action against their awful ways. It is a common tool of the PCU to use false accusations and rumours to attempt to slander anyone who isn’t bowing down to their lord of incels, Dear Leader and his fascistic agenda.

Due to the sheer amount of submissions our kind contributor gave us, we will be attempting to expand our posting to accommodate such a bulk of content. Keep an eye open for the “#InsiderIntel” tag coming up in future submissions as we sort through the much enlightening evidence.

As we draw close to the end of the year and the coming holiday celebrations we here at CoAD would like to shine some light on various posts done bravely by various players across the years, calling out the disgusting behaviour the PCU love to employ against their enemies. As Syrale mentions it never really is about ERP or Non-Roleplayers, the PCU are just looking for reasons to bully people, anything that they think will stick against those they want to push away, they shamelessly attack people’s sexuality, identity or other characteristics in order to make themselves look “better” and feel more “important”. As Gortal rightly points out, a man who proclaims himself to be the “Da Vinci” of Roleplay, has a patreon account and simply proclaims himself to be “always right” has no position or authority to pass judgement any other player does. Okiba gets the entire theme of the PCU correct in one, they pretend to be a welcoming community when in fact they treat everyone not in their circlejerk as competition to push aside at best and enemies to destroy at worst, correctly named “Server killers” for this is how other RP servers ended up decaying. Finally and not least, Rogkar makes the correct observation of one of the PCU’s most sinister tactics, using characters and roleplay not for the purpose to engage with others in that universe, but as a tool to push their barely covered real life agendas and vendettas against other players. In the PCU’s case to push an authoritarian fetishist movement, exalting the position of Dear Leader as the “strongman” of Argent Dawn in a cult like manner.

As Kyemara puts in the plainest of terms, Nazis do not have rights. If we wish for a better community we must be intolerant of intolerance.

As we come into the final month of this most interesting, sometimes troubling, sometimes dramatic year we here at the CoAD team would like to dedicate the first day of December to once again thanking our numerous contributors for our most productive year yet.

It has been you, our dear readers, who have primarily given us the information and sources on all manner of heinous actions across our community, from both familiar faces and new troublemakers. Since the opening of the official CoAD Discord channel and the opening of a dedicated submissions and contact email we have had almost double the amount of input from our various long term and newly joined contributors.

So we thought it best to highlight once again our new contact information, for those who wish to share information, ask questions about the state of the server and who simply wish to engage in constructive conversations about how best to improve our server community and immunise against destructive elements. Be sure that all information shared will remain anonymised and confidential unless given approval for public posting, naturally contributors who wish to remain hidden will have that protection.

We are proud of you, good people of Argent Dawn. From the ground up we are building a better, more tolerant and inclusive community where all decent people are welcome.

We hope you look forward to our Holiday Special this year, our editors promise it will be spicy and warming, fitting for the cold and dark month we are in.
