I come from a place where talking anything regarding the lgbtqia+ community and using correct pronouns are still kinda taboo. People rarely talk about it, and most of them are very ignorant.
Recently I had a conversation with someone I knew. The way they dismissed stuffs regarding queerness and all their comments about it, made me very sad and mad.
But, for me, watching heartstopper and reading all of Alice's books and the comic has made my confused soul feel that I too am normal.
It has greatly helped me in knowing and appreciating lot of things that I was not completely aware of.
Thank you @aliceoseman <3
Now, I do not assume anything about anyone from the way they look or with their names.
I try my best to be mindful of people's pronouns. I ask them if I do not know about it (it's always better to ask than to assume, isn't it?).
I'm also trying to educate myself more and the people around me. Osemanverse has played a pivotal role in helping me to accept myself and to be open to learn and understand anything new.
I'm truly sorry if I've ever used the wrong pronoun or if anyone's ever felt that I've been ignorant to them.
I'm trying to get better :)
