normalize stimming.stimming is normal for neurodivergent folks. it needs to be talked about more. stop staring at people and give us "looks'
I wish I could get excited and standup and stim during class the way I do at home.
I nearly just did it out of instinct and got yelled at by the teacher and stared at by students.
I hate it here :(

In my personal opinion, I think Stimming right after a Tic Attack is the most soothing thing I could ever do to myself personally. Whenever I feel my tics gradually get worse, whether they be physical or verbal, I tend to grab a Chew toy, A very soft blanket and a fidget cube. My physical Tics, I tend to Bite at my skin as hard as I can, I tend to scratch myself until I bleed so a Chew Toy comes in handy when I want to inflict pain on myself I see the toy and instantly chew on it. A soft blanket gets my mind of the subject that triggered my Tic attack. Normally I just cling onto it and graze my finger and thumb over it while I have it gripped into my hand. Normally I'll fall asleep with it as well. The fidget cube is actually pretty self explainitory. The fidget cube gives me something to focus on as well rather than whatever it was that triggered my Tics. My fidget cube makes these cute click noises so I get pretty happy with it.
oh so when other people sit in a rocking chair that's normal but when I sit and rock my body all the way back and forth that's "weird" smh
When we say normalize stimming we don’t just mean normalize yelling “happy” when we are happy. Or doing cute things with our hands. Sometimes stimming is loud, annoying and ugly. But we don’t tell you to stop laughing when you find something funny. So stop telling us how to stim. If your not ok with the ugly annoying stimming then you don’t support stimming.
