Decided to stop girl bossing and go to see a doctor. Sinus infection, bronchitis, suspected lung infection. Off to a hospital tonight.

unfortunately i think suki is a better example of the worf effect than the trope namer. at least in star trek they regularly encounter wacky space energies with powers beyond mortal comprehension. poor suki seems to exist solely to be beaten by other teenagers

Coma

It was miracle, Sue, woke up from her coma she’d been in for the past year.  When she did she was surrounded by family.

“You’re all here for me,” she said.

“Of course,” her sister said.

“We have nowhere else to go,” her brother snarked.

Confused Sue asked, “What does that mean?”

“Oh, there’s like this virus, everyone has to stay inside and not go out.”

“So...I’ve been in a coma not doing anything and now I’m awake and I’m not going to be do anything still?”

“Pretty much.”

Sue thought and asked, “Can I be put back in it?”

Her brother said, “We’ve all been trying to have our own.”

It wasn’t the best awakening.
