We got the tree up and decorated, and it is very nice. We were able to use all the breakable ornaments that we were not able to use last year because the Jeebers were roughly five monkeys' worth of trouble and would have broken everything. Fancy is good about it and always has been. She is now the only cat.

So this year there is a pause between the Jeebers and the Round Baby, with only Fancy, and the missing our boys is even worse this year. Smooch's little Christmas tree hut is cold and empty.

I didn't get pictures of the Jeebers under the tree, not one. Not together, not alone. I'm going to regret that for the rest of my life.

I don't know what they are doing or what their trees look like. I hope the trees are beautiful. I hope they are happy.

The Round Baby cannot come soon enough.
