I hc Jason with autism, personally.

I mean, the first thing he did upon coming back was *organize* things. And he has strong, constant and solid beliefs. Which is why he doensn't mesh with bruce.

Dick Grayson

Dick has BPD. He has strong emotions, that are slow to cool down. But he is good at covering it/masking. And he is works on it, but ultimately puts his life as a vigilante first.

Tim Drake

Tim def has Audhd. He moves from interest to interest, a Jack of all trades, proficient but not a master. Wide skillset. Which is why he is proficient at coding, detective work, and fighting.

Bruce Wayne

Bruce has OCD. Especially Moral OCD. He *has* to be Batman. If he doesn't go out every night, then he is directly responsible for people dying, no better than the killers. But this gets projected on the ones closest to him, resulting in antisocial behaviors. He also masks this in public. He also has PTSD. I think this can co-occur with autism, but in this case is not the primary diagnosis.

Damian Wayne-Al Ghul

Damian has Autism, and a chronic nervous system disorder. (PDA) He needs a level of control, and without it he feels unsafe and dysregulated. Especially after he left the LOA and no longer had strict guidelines he had to follow to survive.

Cassandra Cain

Cass is an interesting case, in that most of her beliefs come from her trauma. So, PTSD that presents similarly to autism, but not autism. That, and the way she was raised, are what shaped her. I definitely think she has some Avoidant tendancies, and maybe avoidant personality disorder. She avoids social interaction (because gets in the was of the Mission), has pervasive feelings of inadequacy and is hypersensitive to negative comments by those she looks up to, particularly Bruce. Who enforces these beliefs.

Duke Thomas

Autistic, and incredibly smart and compassionate as well. Organizer, wants to build a better future. (Added after a commenter reminded me.)

Stephanie

Steph has PTSD, and may not be neurodivergent, she has a strong sense of compassion and justice.

Barbara Gordon

Barbara canonically has non-complex PTSD from the joker incident. (Honestly, all of them have some level of trauma.)

look. look. buffy s7 is bad, right? we all agree. but people fundamentally misinterpret what about s7 is bad. they say characters are OOC or poorly written. but that's wrong. the problem is the plot. the characters act shitty not bc they're OOC, but bc they're having perfectly explainable in-character reactions to terrible plot choices. the problem with s7 isn't the characterization, you see. it's the First.

Are there any decent dragon ball YouTubers? I gave Totally Not Mark a shot (I got clickbaited into his Bardock is ruining Dragon Ball video) and his take was: TV Special good, Minus version makes Goku Superman, Super manga further ruins the story because of the wish Bardock makes.

I know I’m biased as a Bardock fan but I actually liked Super Hero/Minus Bardock just as much as TV special. Will never defend the Super manga though, I don’t even think Toriyama outlined the Granolah stuff did he?

He outlined some of it. The idea was Toyotaro's (and Victory Uchida's too, apparenty, which would explain why he's always trying to hype that arc) and he sent it to Toriyama, who apparently came up with a lot of the lore and a basic outline for him based on those ideas. From there, Toyotaro wrote the dialogue, the details, etc. So what exactly is Toyotaro's or not, we don't really know. But the arc itself was not Toriyama's idea. As for DB Tubers, unfortunately, I tend to not really watch their content. More than once I've been accused of "ripping off" some of my own thoughts on things from them, or being influenced by them, so I've kind of made it a point to ignore them to avoid that in the future. I'm sorry I can't really be of more help there. But for the record, I absolutely HATE the whole "Goku is Superman" thing, mostly because of how people misuse that. While there are some basic similarities in that both have the whole "Baby Moses" motif, for some reason people don't refer to the updated comic origin for Superman with this, but the 1978 film where he's deliberately sent not just to survive, but to be a hero. This is not the case with Goku. He's legit dropped on Earth to hide and potentially be picked up later. It's a completely random event, not one of "destiny" or anything like that. In fact, the Bardock Special has more of that to it than Minus does, given Bardock legit sees the future and sees Goku on Earth, fighting Vegeta, facing Freeza, etc. Such a weird, bizarre claim to me, and betrays a lack of media literacy in regard to the material.

Anyways, sorry, got a bit meandering there at the end, but I maybe folks who follow the blog can point you toward a few good ones?

Kacchan is actually so, so loved.

His mom is right, he's a brat cuz he quickly got over his head when he was constantly praised by people around him. His parents must've love him so much with how well he physically is - healthy, clean, unbruised. Probably not a popular opinion but I think his mom treating him aggressively is a way to tone him down, to remind him of manners that he might've slipped from being too pompous. And also, it's an asian thing, ESPECIALLY in Japan where senpai-kouhai/elderly hierarchy is strongly regarded.

Still, Katsuki always demands attention like he doesn't have enough of it. He used to aim for being no.1 to gain attention where it'll feed his ego. Even with his obnoxious behaviour, he always had a pass cuz he IS talented, smart and very gifted. People allowed his atrocity cuz they believe he can still contribute to the hero society.

But Katsuki has a way to seek love that he truly yearns and needs. Maybe it's another gifted kid syndrome or an instinctual thing, that he could feel he is so loved in a way he was not expecting. The people who only sees him on the surface aside, Katsuki was constantly showered under the kind of love that is very forgiving, patient, and positive of his coming around. Aizawa, kirishima, his parents, AM, Izuku...

Aizawa and AM regard Katsuki in a similar fashion as his parents did, acting as a guidance that sometimes switching between being strict or encouraging. Kirishima was slightly special because he was the first one to accept his foul personality and would still praise and be amazed by his ability. To me, Katsuki must've value the gratification of someone acknowledging his entirety and would still respect him as well as give him fuel to his ego. Kirishima is passionate of integrity and righteousness. He's quite open-minded and is pretty forgiving, thus forming a suitable concoction of personalities that matches Katsuki's kind of "love" he grew accustomed to.

However, if it all comes to that preferences, why did he reject Izuku's "love" when kirishima's worked but not his? To be fair, Izuku's "love" for Katsuki is pretty much similar as to his parents' as well as kirishima's. But since the river incident, Katsuki's young mind has decided to antagonised that alien kind of love which he was going to get used to (from his parents) anyway. Because receiving that sort of acceptance and appreciation from a child his age kinda oppose the idea of him being special. Little Katsuki was building up a reputation of being the best and the most unique kid in the neighborhood , if he acknowledged Izuku's recognition of his "front", it would meant he wasn't really that special after all. Little Katsuki couldn't have that, and so it brought forward to their entire childhood until UA, rejecting that obvious, his preferred type of "love" that he labeled as disgusting due to their antagonistic relationship.

That's why after dvk2, when Katsuki has finally confronted that impulsive naivety he held onto, he became unconsciously openly seek out Izuku's "love" to him. He loves being seen and appreciated the right way, the way that reminds him of his humanity, that keeps him grounded, that asks his self-awareness of his capabilities and therefore pushes him becoming better every time. Izuku was different from Kirishima because Katsuki had never level himself with him the way he did with Izuku - notwithstanding the whole rivalry on win to save, save to win thing. Also, the simple fact that their familiarity of one another's traits are what keeping them tightly enveloped in an indissoluble bubble of intimacy.

Katsuki demands attention like a brat. He craves attention and love from where he seeks. As prefaced, he has preferences and that he categorised them. It's interesting though that due to his immature obstinacy, he had created a situation where he is now forcing himself in a state of overcompensation towards Izuku's year's worth of "love" towards him. (He knew he was truly at fault, and he knew Izuku still accepts him nonetheless (i.e dvk2), but the way he tried to keep a distance between them to maintain their norm is, in actuality, not normal. Counting in the fact that at the same time he still craves Izuku's "love" when he self-inserted as the one to pull the leash.

Tsk tsk, Katsuki truly is a child raised by love.

A little note (which I started with a lot of enthusiasm at first, and then realized it didn't make much sense, but then something interesting was born! It's not meta, but a very interesting idea!).

When Izuku's phone broke at Summer Camp, his mom brought him a new phone. And I want to point out that 1) it's clearly a new phone with an all-touch screen, narrow bezel, and no main mechanical button (indicating a fairly new phone model, and thus an expensive phone);

2) most likely the phone numbers were already put into the phone because: a) Inko asked to call her; b) we didn't see Izuku put new data into the phone (maybe it was offscreen, but All Might called/wrote him the next night (not seen before), Izuku recognized his contact immediately. Of course, Izuku could have remembered his phone number - a fan and a successor after all, but about his classmates' phone numbers - we're not told that Izuku has a phenomenal memory, hence - his data could have already been put into his phone). Of course, there is an explanation for this:

1. The heroes who tied Muscular could have found the phone and given it to Inko, who could have easily transferred the SIM card to the new phone.

2. Izuku backed up his phone to, say, some cloud service. So he could upload his contacts to the new clean sim card (with the same number).

This has been dealt with.

Next, I want to remind you that there are so-called parental controls, as well as phone tracking through the mobile operator even with geolocation turned off. And you're probably familiar with such a concept as “find by IP-address”. There are two types of IP-addresses at mobile operators: static and dynamic. With static IP-address the user can access his device from any computer in any part of the world, because after connecting this service from the mobile operator the subscriber is given a certain unique IP-address valid for the Internet. Advantages of static IP: Ability to accept incoming connections; High reliability of authorization; More stable connection and higher speed; Ability to access the server with restricted access. Disadvantages of static IP: Easy IP address calculation procedure; Fee for providing the service. Dynamic IP - IP-address that changes with each new connection to the network. This form of addresses is less resource consuming for providers that's why it is used most often. It gives them the opportunity to serve the greatest number of clients in general and at a particular point in time. Advantages of a dedicated IP: Free network reset and getting a new IP address; Impossibility to find the subscriber by IP-address; Ability to cheat on certain data. Disadvantages of dedicated IP: Fewer connection speeds and problems with dropped connections; Non-saving settings, requiring re-entry of data on some sites.

Why I'm bringing you all this. Izuku has a new phone, which means it will have a new IP-address anyway. And through knowing that address - somebody can track that device, especially if it's a static IP-address.

And one of Afo's favorite quirks is Electromagnetic Waves, which can do very tricky things with the right imagination.

And imagine - Afo at Kamino didn't know that the kids would be in the warehouse with nomu, so he must have been surprised by that himself. That's why he made them sit behind the wall with his Aura, the Death Vision, and not confront him. However! What if, at the same moment, he was able to access Izuku's new phone with his electromagnetic wave quirk, connect a static IP, or set up parental controls? Still, the Search has a limited range, but there is a possibility that Afo could somehow track Izuku's location, and perhaps even eavesdrop on phone conversations to know about many things in the world outside of Tartarus, to then use that knowledge against the heroes.

It's a really interesting spy moment that could be realized😉
