What is a Future Without YOU!?

summary: what if kevin never allowed mei to leave world serpent, and what if kiana and mei met each other under VERY DIFFERENT circumstances

"..The reason I sent you here... was because.. there would never be a second Elysia.", the leader of World Serpent sighed.

Of course she knew that. Elysia was the Previous Era's lucky break and hope of the current era. The reason why she wasn't obliterating everything and anything to shreds.

And because of her, Mei finally had the courage to ask:

"I request to leave World Serpent."

"No.", his response was quick, his tone tinged with the same cold she had been familiar with.

"Why not?"

"..Raiden Mei, do you understand? This is what the Previous Era wanted-"

"Doesn't seem to be the case. Why can't I? Give me a reason.", Mei said. "My patience is running out."

"You are instrumental to Project STIGMA.", Kevin turned around. "Your task will be difficult. This is why I let everything happen in the Elysian Realm. And if anything fails, Kiana will be implicated."

Insane bitch, Mei thought. Those were the memories of what was long gone and he would just kill all of them off (even the last remnants of his best friend) just for what? This 'No matter the cost' attitude was starting to get on her nerves. Never in her lifetime, for anything would she delete memories of Kiana, not even to save the world.

She was about to break out, but then he mentions her.

Kaslanas and their stupid actions.

She was impulsive back then to accept the deal from this serpent.

Mei is on the moon base. She's responsible for keeping a lookout on the people she was friends with and updating Raven and Jackal on anything suspicious going on (disrupting Project STIGMA's execution, stealing from the Moon Base, etc)

How she wanted to talk to Kiana again face-to-face. She caught herself staring at her, her perfect-

"Oi, whatcha' doing right now? No-no-no, what are they doing?"

"..I didn't pay attention.", she blushed slightly.

"Awwh, paying attention to your girlfriend much?"

For a second Mei's transported into another universe where this was just a silly game they were playing, and everything's alright- yes, everything's alright until Raven speaks again;

"This is for our Sire. Better not mess this up, princess.", and that nickname's so familiar she doesn't want Raven to call her that again, it reminds her too much of her.

"Mhm, I understand.", she said before continuing to look down.

She's going to lose them. She has to walk faster.

Throughout all this, Mei somehow deludes herself into thinking she's just keeping them safe with every second, minute, and hour she spends observing them.

It gets worse on the 13th hour, though.

"Sire says that you'll have to kill all of them. He's preparing for Project STIGMA right now."

Catch-22. No matter what happens, Kiana won't survive.

This isn't a lucky break, Mei thought resentfully. If only an Elysia could come down and just save all of them, all of them. What use was Herrschers being able to retain human consciousness against this shit? This ISN'T WHAT SHE WOULD'VE WANTED.

She whispers a quick prayer to whatever is listening, to just save everyone with no cost, to make everything better, but she knows it's futile.

She imagines the torture Kiana will go through, however.

"..Can I save one person? Just.. Kiana. I can't-"

"Fine, fine. You negotiate your case to Sire himself."

"We're on different parts of the moon.", Mei sighed.

"Just teasing~". How was that Raven able to crack jokes at such a time? "Sire says: Sure, why not."

Thank you, she mutters to herself. Even if she has to live with the guilt of nearly everyone she loved dying (at her own hands- the blood will never be washed off), at least she could save someone.

Kiana loves the flickering vermillion of flame.

But she doesn't like the crimson of blood.

And there's too much of one around, and she's panicking, because why the hell would Mei do this!? She knows Mei hasn't devolved into a cruel, heartless killer, but she would never, right? She hasn't been so brainwashed, right?

"Mei, why..?", Kiana looks around.

She knew Mei would sacrifice the world for her, but in this way?

"Kiana, I'm so sorry for everything I've done.", Mei mutters. "Please, I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to hurt anyone. But this- this is my mission. And you fucking know what'll happen to both of us- no, you. I don't want to imagine what'll happen to you if I fail this bullshit- I-"

"No. I- I don't care if this is your mission or not-"

"Kiana, please, just follow my directions. I'm trying to save you! Please, Kiana, just-"

"I don't want to live in a false dream forever, Mei.", she got up and looked at Mei with longing, pity, and.. resentment. "Why do you still think I-"

"Kiana, I won't be able to live with mysel-"

"So you can live with yourself having killed Bronya!? Class Rep!? Aunt Theresa?! Mei, are you THAT heartless!? What did World Serpent do to you!? I don't want to be saved by you if it means everyone else has to die! I hope this isn't the real you, because I-"

Stab! and Mei's sword cuts into Kiana's body. The last thing the white-haired girl sees before it fades to black is Mei's beautiful purple eyes, tears slowly falling down her face.

"I never wanted it.. to go this way.."

"..Mei.. in.. another..."

She can only hope that sentence is completed with: In another life, we'll be happy together, okay?

Letters to the Moon (pt. 2) - a world diminished

In a world that is hysterically ugly, I found art in you. So bright, you put the sun to shame. So calm and serene, you made the moon jealous. And the stars? Well, the stars understood you. They accepted you for what you were and they loved you. The seas called and pulled for you. You never answered. It confused me until you explained, so patiently. You were afraid of the Great Deep. It scared you and you hated it; it was the only thing you ever hated and you chose the seas. I always wondered why, but I think maybe, just maybe, I know now. 

A world, wavering, always blurring the lines of reality. Another thing I always wondered: why you chose to leave so violently when you have always idealized peace. If you had asked me to do it, would I have helped you? I don’t think I could ever bring myself to say yes. Then, would you have called me a bad friend? Maybe inside we are not the person who we want to be.

As the world crashes around us, around me, we stay unmoving. Two pillars standing amongst rubble. The seas rising, their call strong enough for even I to hear. The water cracks and the sound is fittingly thunderous. The seas are demanding. Violent. Utter anarchy. Comically, we are surrounded by chaos and destruction, yet you stand in front of me, still shining so bright. So bright that it dawns on me. The seas are everything you are and you hate it. You live under a false pretense and I have fallen for it and I just want to know. Your philosophy for everything. Yet with a blink, a wave rises and crashes down, washing you away to the seas. Away, away. And thus, in the end, there was one.

Rhya isn't always up for gardening but when he got closer and knelt down with one arm resting in his robe and saw you calmly watering the flowers? He melted. Things have been rough and even if it's only for this single moment, he's glad to see the small smile that adorns your face.

And you teach him a lot about gardening! He messes up a few times and accidentally waters a flower with soda, but hey—he's getting there.

He isn't paying too much attention to the task at hand and instead looks at you, taking small glances and taking in all of your features; including the way your eyebrows furrow when you focus just a little more.

He probably got distracted and ended up making a flower crown and placed it on your head.

Rhya: Is it always this hot??

S/o: Yes, now can you PLEASE hold the other side of the pot—!

Cue Rhya stealing the apple in your hands and nibbling it a little while massaging the back of your neck. He may be doing the heavy lifting but he also likes to make sure you aren't in pain from being hunched over and planting things.

You two have some nice conversations. From the whole elf reincarnation thing to your favorite foods. Even if your interests may differ, he's still fascinated by the amount of enjoyment you get when tending to your beautiful garden.

And the times you have to guide him so he doesn't mess up, your soft hands guiding his own sends a magical feeling down his veins. Because of you, he definitely realized why you love your garden so much. It truly is a place of memories.

"You know, I haven't seen anyone look so calm while sitting on a branch in a tree throwing apples into a basket."

Every once in a while when he looks around he sees some bunnies and deer peering over. Eventually, a light brown bunny hops over onto his lap and he sits there refusing to move, he's busy rubbing their ears 😌

When you see the bunny in his lap, you slowly crawl over a little and pet the fluffy bun together.

Rhya swore to himself, the bunny had a similar vibe to you. Calm, adorable, somewhat feisty when needed, and still so loveable despite its faults. Bringing his arm up slowly he cupped your face, brushing his thumb over your cheek while his eyes sparkled a little.

"Out of this whole garden, you're perhaps the most intoxicating fruit here, darling... Please, never lose that gentleness in your eyes when you look at nature."

His words were unexpected, and maybe you would have jumped away, but just this once... Even just a little, tears threatened to fall from your eyes. You knew how much suffering he's gone through, including yourself. Perhaps this garden will hold one more memory for the both of you. In such a cruel world, all that remained were an elf and human finding the beauty in the impossible.

megumi is a big cuddlebug, even if he didn't admit it, he never spoke out loud but you knew when he wanted affection. it was almost a pattern, he would stop next to you for a few seconds and look at you quickly, then would come a little closer until he was close enough for you to grab him.

sometimes he just stood there with his arms folded, waiting, he was either very patient or very embarrassed. but not here to talk about that, in fact, the subject is;

megumi is hairy.

if you count that the older fushiguro is, it's not a surprise that he is also, despite the fact that he walked around with his body covered in his clothes and always kept his face well shaved, you wouldn't have noticed so much. but there was something, and you found out when you two got together.

he wasn't too ashamed or anything, but he didn't have to confess it for you to understand that he felt "nervous" when you touched it or looked at him.

like now, when he's by your side wanting you because he's so needy, wanting to smell you, wanting to squeeze you. so you move a little closer, listening to him breathe deeply; satisfied, as you snuggle up next to him on the bed.

you can not only feel but also see the slightly defined and slender arms enveloping you little by little, little hairs adorning them, almost cute, walking to the beginning of the back of his hands. you made an effort to take your arms out of the wrapping, gently, running your hand over them lightly, looking so amazed.

not just because of this ones, but from his whole body, his arms almost softs, his legs that tickled you sometimes under the covers, his beard that he rarely let show, that you loved to feel lightly pinching your face. straight as his hair, but when they were too big, they started to make cute curves, even if you've only seen it that way once or twice at most.

but your favorite was definitely the ones on his torso.

feeling your hand go up his arm was so good when you were playing, tugging lightly and making it stay in place again,but nothing compared to when you put your hand inside his blouse, caressing him with your fingertips, which made him shiver and sigh so pleasantly.

and hearing megumi's sighs so close to your ear was so good, you could see his eyes slowly closing to relax, another hand going up to his hair to stroke it while he tried to turn to lie on his front and just feel you clinging to him, caressing him.

he loved it, even if he wouldn't admit it out loud. you knew that, pulling the hem of his shirt up a little to get more access, seeing the little belly fucking cute and slightly defined, a small trail of black hair going up but getting lost before reaching his chest.

you lay your head on his shoulder while he rested his head on yours, feeling his arm still holding you from behind, running your hand through his pretty hairs.

his belly rising and falling every time you put your hand down a little too far and the circles that were supposed to be on his free skin began to circle the hem of his underpants. a dangerous area.

he sighed softly, raising his hips just a little, involuntarily wanting more of your fingers, you almost smiled. opening his eyes to look, turning slightly to hug you again, mumbling quietly, pulling you as close as possible.

but please, keep caressing him, keep touching his hairs.

The setting is after Susan and her two companions returned to the brothel from their trip in Kul Tiras.

The distant twitter of birds overhead upon the twisting canopy of tree branches was practically music to the Madams ears. And to be frank, that fact relaxed her more than anything.

She felt at peace in this setting, able to admire the world around her-- especially with the natural canopy of the trees overhead acting as a roof from the light drizzle was the perfect setting for morning tea at daybreak; The view in itself was a spectacular sight of rolling hills with a plethora of natural flora untouched by civilization. There was a calm among the world surronding her that eased any tension built in Susan's mind, it did her some good to sit in silence and enjoy it for all it was worth.

But for a restless degenerate who would've laughed in anyones face, at sixteen, who'd suggested she'd be drinking tea in the mornings whikey marveling in the privilege of being the Madam in just two years... It was like she was a forty year old woman, not a nearly twenty one year old.

Alas... it was according to Susan, this was a opportune setting to finally better acquaint herself with the famous miss Kat Hawke.

And that's exactly how she would have brought it to Kat's attention, in a personally written invitation for the woman to visit the Sisters in Sin. Over a morning tea and light breakfast, watching the sunrise upon the Brothels back terrace along with:

"If two women cannot bond over the beauty of a sunrise, than surely they never have to waste breath trying to get along after that."

It was a pretty scripture, in thought. But on paper it surely came off crueler than intended, even pesimistic and snobbish. Such were the woes of a whore who tended to try much too hard to impress. Whether she was impressing others or herself, it wasnt clear. But her willingness to reach out surely was in her favor?

I’m NEWWW

First time posted something I’ve written(or anything). I wanted some advice for a “short” story I’m writing. And…no I have revised it so..yeah there’s some grammatical errors.

So Enjoy~~

The sun sprayed it’s ray through the thick gray clouds, as if heaven is just beyond its barriers, and separating us from the bright welcoming warmth to let us soak in the darkness around us in the ever so fun planet. Staring at through the window, Amelia traced the rain drops that fell unto the clear glass. Tuning out her mother as she drone on about how they’re going to meet daddy and how handsome he is.

Amelia stared coldly towards her mother, startstrucked by a man that left them long ago; unbuckling her seat belt and opened the can door–Amelia poked her head out the door and stood. Gasping out Amelia eyes clouded, a sliver of the cerulean sky revealed itself against the gray boundaries.

Sticking out her leg, Amelia prepared to step then stop and turned back to her mother who is still gushing over her father and is completely unaware that her daughter is about to leave her also. Staring at the woman, who’s eyes has already lost it’s color and it’s sight Amelia clenched the door.

“I HATE YOU!” she screamed at the soulless woman.

“YOU’VE DONE NOTHING FOR ME!” Amelia screamed again at her mother desperate for any kinf of reaction; wanting the woman to yell out at her. Biting her cheek to prevent tears to flow down her cheeks Amelia glared down at the woman that talked to thin air throughout her life–she wonders how she survived when she was a child.

Nose flaring, Amelia punched the roof of the car.

“DAD LEFT BECAUSE OF YOU,” she said, her hands in fist and her hair whipping in the wind.

“JUST LIKE HIM I’M LEAVING!” silence welcomed Amelia, silence that she never heard before. Opening her eyes that she didn’t noticed she closed, Amelia’s dark eyes connected with her mother’s icy blue eyes.

“Sit down.” she said, still staring at Amelia.

Amelia slowly climbed back into the moving car and shut the door;slumping on the maroon leather seats Amelia did this while sustaining eye contact with her mother. Blue eyes stared her, even while driving, even while swerving off the road, even while driving into the trunk of the tree, even while glass sprayed onto it’s body.

Blue eyes stared at her as coughed blood, screaming for help, they stared at her as blood stream down on them pooling at her eyelashes.

As Amelia screamed in agony, the blue sky broke through the gray barrier filling her eyes as her mother tried to drag her down to hell with together.
