Since Mace is rumored to be coming back in season 5 (I really fucking hope so) along with Graves, I decided to share my HCs for a ship I made of two characters who would probably never interact with each other aka NovaMace

They definitely bully each other on popular food from their own countries. "Beans on toast? Who is remotely eating that?" He laugh. "Depends, who is eating deep fried butter with some weird sauce like mayo?" She tilted her head. "Wait a minute, that's a really good fucking question."

These two used to playfully bully Ghost (Mace actually tried bullying him once)

Mace always teased Nova about her height because he's taller, of course she might of kicked him down a few times so that he was his knees and she was tall for a few minutes.

Mace definitely fell in love after Nova managed to take him down during a training match

Most people if they saw a guy like Mace, they would either be scared or aroused but Nila? She saw him as a possible challenge to take down but she also wanted to get to know him

The two actually met back around high school-ish but don't exactly remember it because the military is crazy like that. Plus they went to school for a year then he had moved back to America.

Ghost and Roze were Mace's wingman while Gaz,Chuy, and Luna were Nova's wingman.

During certain briefings, Nila could feel his eyes burning in her neck so she looked over at him and saw him making weird faces only using the lower half face while his mask covered the rest

He always calls her Birdy in public or Mntana oyimtombazana (Babygirl) and she'll call him Duck or Bear.

Mace enjoys helping her with her hair especially when it comes to wash day and she always helps him when it comes to cutting his hair or lining it up.

Mace would explain every scarification mark on his body to her through their freetime or on their restless nights

His father being from Soweto and him and his mother being American, his father would teach him simple words to how to hold a conversation in Xhosa so he can speak Xhosa but he does mess up sometimes when speaking it.

Nova got confused when she first heard Mace speaking in Xhosa, thought she had accidentally left the TV on but realizing Mace was talking to his father

Mace actually proposed to her in Xhosa but not after practicing in the mirror a week in advance.

He gets jealous of a stuffed penguin that he won for her at a carnival on their second date. The penguin's name is Sir Sandy

Nova being the pilot she is, has a jet named Ol' baby and it's this powder blue coating she's had since her seventeen birthday. It's her first and only plane so after she managed to save someone on her team by crashing the plane, Mace helped her rebuild it nearly from scratch.

With him being a US Ranger and her being a Royal Air Force/ Royal Marine, and with the US Rangers working with Royal Air Force/ Royal Marine at times. They had a lot of long distance between them but managed to make it work especially whenever Mace had to work with Simon which meant he got to see Nila

After he left the US Rangers and became guns for hire, he had a lot more time to spend with Nila when she got home.

After he joined Rozlin, there was a small period of time where the two didn't talk which leads to a breakup and calling off the wedding. It made sense since they were too busy at the moment.

Nila often plays the violin and Mace just sits there like in awe

When Nila heard Mace was joining KorTac, she had a few conflicted feelings on how to feel since it has been a year or three since she last spoke to him. Meanwhile when Mace heard that Nova was in SpecGru, He was just happy that she's still alive and didn't get caught in the crossfires of war and the attacks sorta directed towards him.

I would be lying if I say Mace totally didn't rush over to her and hug her tightly when he first saw her again and after she heard a little information about what happened to him, she did the same thing

Mama Brown or Nila's mother, she loved Mace the moment she saw how Mace treated her daughter and made her so happy. The same thing goes for Mace's parents when they first met Nila.

Mace likes penguins

Since Nova has Vitiligo, she definitely experiences a lot of bullying in high school to the point she used to cover her spots?? I'm not sure if they'll be spots but correct me if I'm wrong but she used to cover them up to seem normal while Mace enjoyed seeing her natural skin tone. (Sorta throwing in something that her face model used to do.) Although for the times where she didn't cover up her skin, most of her bullies would say one thing then magically end up in the nurse office and this day, she still has no idea who was putting her bullies in the nurse offices, it was Mace.

Mace is like 6'7 while Nova is between 5'5 and 5'8

Nova is a mix of being a light and heavy like sleeper while Mace is more of a heavier sleeper and can sleep more than fire alarms, explosions, etc.

Usually before Nova does a new makeup look, nail color,hairstyle, etc, she would use Mace to test it out, to the point that the two had went out one night and Mace forgot to take off the fake nails, eyelashes, lipstick and the sparkles eyeshadow and everyone was surprised while he felt comfortable with it.

Along with Mace not having a canon name, I could see him being named something like Baptiste, Micah, Amari or even Zarie crazy enough.

And with them being in the military but being in different countries, getting a Visa to move either to America or the UK to be with each other did get a little stressful for them. At first, she applied for a green card to live in the US which was denied then he applied for one but for the UK and that got denied but it didn't stop them from still trying to figure out where to go

Mace sees Nova's vitiligo… as a reverse of his scarification since they both have different skin modifications?? I think vitiligo would be considered as a modification..

Due to his new bio After the events of the nuke, he kinda wanted to retire and just relax with Nova (because he sort of forgot they had broke up for a second) but it didn't stop him from thinking of her and worrying if she is safe when Konni basically attacked and or killed his team.

But for the times when the two were together, Nova knew that war made him fatigued and took a more serious toll on him and she definitely tried to do the best she could to make sure he would be alright and wouldn't be too worried for war

Definitely after the breakup and working with Roze, Mace decided to go back home where his dad lives to make sure his father was alright and safe while still doing his gun for hire work

And while he was still doing that, Mace's parents definitely kept in touch with Nova's mom and grandparents

Prompt: Someone 'accidentally' left the Christmas mistletoe up at a New Year’s Eve party attended by both König and Nova. (I used a translator for all the german and greek so if anything is incorrect, blame the translator. Also merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, happy holidays, happy new Year and those who don't celebrate Christmas or celebrate something, I hope you have a great day/night.

Also I think I might proofread it but I could be wrong so there might be errors.

Nila "Nova" Brown made her way through the shared Specgru and KorTac base with a small pink box in her hands. "Oi Farah, have you seen König?" She asks the Urzikstan soldier. "I think he's drawing in the back. He did mention, albeit quietly, that he was getting ready to visit his family for the holidays.” She answered. "Thank you." She smiles before making her way to König's station. Before she could bring her hand up to knock, the door had already swung open and revealed the tall Austrian male.

"Hi, König!" She waved at him, smiling up at him. "hello Nova." He replies, mirroring her expression beneath the mask. "I just wanted to say thanks for keeping me warm that day when I forgot my jacket, you know. I'm sorry if you felt uncomfortable. I probably should have checked the forecast twice before leaving. That's my fault, but I wanted to make you something as a gesture of appreciation.” She rambles, falling off track of her actual intention. "You made me something?" He asks, focusing on the last sentence.

"Yup! Without getting off-topic once more, I made you Schaumrollen even though I might have messed it up because I knew you were Austrian and I remembered my friend telling me about some of their desserts. Am I saying that correctly?” She held the box out. "You did it, which I appreciate, but you didn't have to. All I was doing was… normal?" He questioned himself. "But I wanted to." Her smile got brighter as her intentions stayed pure.

König was aware of Nova's friendliness and liked the fact that she was genuinely sweet. She was like a bundle of sweetness that made him smile. They practically became friends, and he even started grinning more. Although some people would argue that Nova and Konig were the true definitions of polar opposites, that wasn't quite the case. She was more of an average height compared to him, despite the fact that he was tall. Her skin was brown with white patches, known medically as Vitiligo pigmentation, while his was somewhat mysterious to everyone.

Everyone thought he was scary, but he was a kind-hearted soul with social anxiety, and everyone thought she was a super sweet girl, pure and innocent, which wasn't too far off, but they were both badasses on the field. She keeps an eye on him and pays attention to things like his disappearance, silence, etc. He did the same. He just wasn't aware of it, but Nova was sort of a protector for him. She would tell someone off if she needed to for hurting König's feelings. He wasn't entirely sure of the feelings he was developing for her at first, but he was in fact feeling them. He just knew that he was developing them.

He took the box and uttered, "Vielen Dank." He set it on the table by the door. She nodded, and they just stood there for a few minutes. She started rocking on her feet as he tugged at his fingers. Unsure of what to say, she makes an attempt to strike up a conversation, even if it is futile. "So what are you doing for the holidays?" She inquires, drawing his attention away from his hands. "I'm just going to spend it with my parents. Nichts Besonderes." He shrugged. "What about you?" He looks up at the woman. "Doing the same but will probably be coming back a day or two before the New Year." She answered.

"You celebrate the New Year?" He raised a brow, surprised. She may not have seen it, but she could hear it in his voice. "Slightly. I prefer to say that I like how the night lights up with pretty colors without the loud noises.” She shook her head, explaining it. "Es macht Sinn." He mutter. "Do you celebrate the New Year?" It was her turn to ask now. "I occasionally do that with my parents, but not always. "I believe they'll be very busy in the new year." He said, waving the afro-British in. She turned to look around, grinning at the cozy feeling she had.

"So, if you don't mind my asking, what do you have planned for New Year's?" As he brought the box over to his bed, she asked. "I am not too sure yet." As he saw her looking around, he spoke while feeling a little uneasy. "Well, you could join me if you return before the new year. Declining is also acceptable, of course.” She flashed a quick smile, making his heart flutter. Seeing her smile made him feel like an artist who was finally getting motivated after not making any art for months.

"I'd have to double-check, but I could." He answered. "Alright then. If you decide to join me, I'll be on base, probably in the kitchen or something, before the fireworks start." She stated. "I'll keep that in mind." He made a mental note. She began to fiddle with her bracelets as they sat in silence again. He enjoyed hearing from her, and she didn't want to stop talking to him. "I suppose I better get going at this point. The flight back home is quite long." She let out a small sigh, giving him another smile. "Yes. Danke nochmal for the desserts. If they taste good, I'll let you know.” He immediately bit his tongue in response to his statement.

He hurried out an answer while blushing before she could respond. "I'm talking about how they taste when I see you tomorrow. We won't be in the same place tomorrow, so next week instead? Yes, next week." If she may be honest, she thought it was cute. "Well, I'll be waiting for your response, König. I'll see you later." She put her hands in her pockets, smiling at him for the last time as she walked out.

The New Year arrived much faster than expected. The cold weather harshly kissed the afro-British skin as she peeked her head out the window. She softly smiles before pulling her hair into a small puff. Being comfortable in the big sweater that loosely embraced her body, she was relieved not to be donning any uniforms or tactical gear. She walks away from the window and towards the oven to check on the product. Happy with the baked goods, she removed the base assigned apron and hung it up, as someone had stepped in. Without having to look up, she knew who it was.

"König? Is that you or is that you, Kleo?" She called out. "Just me," König answered, walking into the kitchen. "I take it Kleo accompanied you on the walk here?" She looks up at him. She was surprised to see him without his mask, but she also grinned because he appeared at ease enough to do without. "not exactly. More likely, she left something in her room and we just happened to cross paths." He explained.

"You look different without the sniper mask on. I like it." She spit out. Sure, he was still dressed in tactical gear, but it had a more casual feel to it. "Oh, Danke! I suppose you look different as well." He laughs, unsure how to express himself. "I'm used to seeing you in tactical gear, and the sweater looks great on you." She laughed as well because she understood what he was trying to say.

"Well, thank you as well; before I left, my Granny had repaired one of my father's sweatshirts. claims that it would be even colder than an old engine kept frozen.” She smiles, causing him to laugh once more. "Es tut mir Leid but what does that even mean?" She hopped on the counter before explaining. "My grandmother makes up crazy phrases all the time, but I believe that one was meant to mean that it's colder here than in Antarctica."

"It's a very interesting way of saying that." She nodded in agreement with what he said. "Yup." And yet another silence-filled cloud has engulfed them. Just happy to see the other, but still a little nervous because there was no other soldier around. She kicked her legs slightly as he looked around the kitchen area and tried to think of something to say, but the first thing that came to mind was not the right one.

"Well, I'm not going to lie to ya dear, but I didn't think you would show." She rubbed her hands together as she said this. He questioned "how come," wondering if he had done something wrong. Picking up on this feeling, she immediately explained herself. "I didn't mean it in a bad way. I simply meant that I am surprised. that's all." She smiled at him as her eyes looked bright from the Christmas lights that were shining on them.

"Your eyes are schön." He mumbled. "I may not have understood what you said, but your words are also," She hopped off the counter while grinning. "It means beautiful, but you can't even see my eyes." He exclaimed. She chuckles to herself once more before approaching the tall man and gazing up at him. "I can tell you the yellow makes your blue hues pop."

"I think you're just making things up at the moment." He mocks jokingly. "Not true. Yellow lights do work beautifully on blue eyes." She stands by her statement. "I'll take your word on it." He put his hands up in surrender, making her smile. She shook her head before walking over to the oven and peeking inside. "The cookies are done." She stated as she looked at him. "You made cookies?" He inquires as the aroma of freshly baked goods fills his nose.

"Of course. What kind of bird would I be if I didn't bake cookies before the new year?" She joked, leaving him confused. "Bird?" He raised a brow. "I'll have to teach you some British slang, but it basically means lady or young lady." She explained, removing the tray and setting it on the stove. "Got it." He nodded. "Yeah. I think they're going to start the fireworks soon." She gestures toward the window.

"what's that?" The Austrian asked. "That's mistletoe. I believe Kleo or Reyes put it up. I expected them to be taken down before I left." She answered. "Can I tell you a secret?" He asked, and she nodded. "This is my first time under the mistletoe." König looked away nervously, which caused the woman sitting next to me to laugh.

"Can I tell you a secret as well?" She asks. "It's my first time under it too." She bit her lip, glancing at the dark sky. "It is?" He asks, surprised. "Yup, how come you sound surprised by that?" She inquires, noticing his tone. "I mean Du bist schön." Their cheeks began to heat up as he said. "Thank you, König, but not everyone would agree with you on that." She gave him a sad smile.

"Who would disagree?" He wondered. "A lot of people. People who had different skin patterns were rarely liked, especially when I was growing up in school. It's the reason why if you saw any old photos of me, I'd look different. I used to hide them because I was embarrassed to be myself." She shrugged, pointing to her skin. "But vitiligo is a beautiful thing, right?" He asks. "It is but not everyone sees it as a beautiful thing, it's seen as a weird thing. Not only strange, but for some, a strange sexual thing." She continued as he looked at her.

"Well, I don't see it as a strange or strange sexual thing." He shifted his gaze to her. "I appreciate that, König." She smiled as they fell silent once more. She looked at the time because she didn't know what to do under the Christmas decorations. "We have about 5 minutes before the year starts." She remarked as she checked her phone. "Yeah, have any special plans to ring in the new year?" He asked. "I'm not sure. I might drink a pint or ask you for a small friendly kiss." She shrugged, her gaze fixed on her drink.

"A friendly kiss? What if I don't feel like giving you a friendly kiss?" He asks. "How about a regular kiss? We won't have to tell anyone." She offers. "How about we restart this conversation?" He looked at her, and she agreed with a nod. "If you don't mind, may I kiss you to bring in the new year?" He question. "I was going to ask you the same thing." She laughs. "Really?" Astounded, he inquires. "Mhm, I mean, most New Year's Eves I'm either kissing a stranger or drinking. I figured I'd pick one of the two." She nodded.

"Well, we could." He gives her a quick glance. "We could, but you're too tall for me, big boy. In other words, if you're seated, I'd have to either grab a chair, have you crouch down, or straddle you in order to kiss you.” She described various approaches to kissing him. "I mean, I could pick you up." He offers. "I wouldn't mind, but I can't guarantee that the picking up and kissing combo would only consist of kissing." She giggled, feeling her cheeks heat up. "And you think the straddling and kissing will stop there?" She shook her head when he asked.

"I don't, but I mean, I think we could both limit ourselves if necessary," she explained while licking her lips. "True, then let's let loose. You are welcome to straddle me." He said, feeling confident. "Are you certain you want that, big boy?" She purrs. "I'm sure, Maus." He teased back, keeping a big smile on his face. "Okay then." She said, setting down her cup before straddling König. His hands immediately went to grab her waist, to keep her from falling.

"Is this alright?" He asked, motioning to where his hands were. "It's fine." She grinned as she lightly stroked his face with her finger. He hums as he scans her face. Because the action appeared to be both intimate and relaxing, "You really do have some lovely eyes," she observed. "As do you," he remarks. "But mine aren't as pretty as yours." She teased. "There's about a minute left." He warned. "That's just enough time to stare into them." She mutters while gazing intently into his eyes.

"What if you kissed me first, and then I kiss you?" He suggested.

"That could work." She nodded, still staring at his hues, as the television began counting down the seconds. "I'll tell you what, if you kiss me right now, I'll take off my mask when we're alone." He offered. "How about this: I'll kiss you right now, but you take off your mask only if you're comfortable?" She hums, holding his face. "I could work with that." He smile which made her smile as well. "Five. Vier. Three. Zwei. One. Happy New Year." They both counted together before she leaned down to kiss him.

As their lips came together, a flavor of bourbon and vanilla bean exploded. a blend of bitter and sweet. As the world concentrated on them, the cheering and fireworks became dim. Rich honeyed met soft, plump lips. her hands clutched his face as his hands gripped her sweatshirt. Before the tall man went in for a kiss, they briefly parted ways. He held her face with one hand while keeping the other on her hip. Aside from being pleasant, the kiss was also warm and affectionate in certain ways. It certainly seemed like they had kissed before, even though they hadn't.

"You owe me twenty dollars plus that dinner," Kleo smirked as she watched the two outside. "I didn't agree to the supper," Tse mumbles as she hands her the $20 bill. "You didn't, but I'm offering Luna," she responds to the Asian-American woman, smiling. "Fine, but I'm picking the diner," she says as she walks away from the balcony, looking at Kleo. The Greek woman smiled at the couple before following behind her. "So, where are we going?" she investigates. "It's a secret," Luna said as Kleo took her hand in hers. "I trust you, φιλεvάδα" She uttered this as they walked out from the base, leaving Nova and König to their own ways.

"How did you know you were supposed to leave the mistletoe up?" Tse takes a peek at Kleo. "No, I didn't. I just forget to take it down." Kleo giggles while removing the cherry off the ice cream float. "What shall I do with you?" Tse rolled her eyes. “Love me?” Kleo stares at her with big eyes. "I suppose," the woman says, her face flushed.
