Literally just throwing this at your, because you're probably the only person who's niche interests perfectly line up. "Dust and Ashes" = peak Booker angst. Discuss?
Ooooh, that’s a thought. Honestly I think Booker when we last see him in the film does not have the self-awareness Pierre displays by the end of the song, but one of the things I love about Great Comet is that “Dust and Ashes” comes less than halfway through the show and Great Comet itself ends about halfway through War and Peace—for everything Pierre realizes about himself, about life, through the course of that story, there’s still space afterward. I do like that in regards to Booker. With a preternaturally long life, he still has space to get better.
