Banana Nutrition Facts And Useful Healthy Benefits
Dr. Greger discusses the leading causes of death
Nutritious Jelly Gummy Sweets
I love making these at home! They take literally a matter of minutes to make and then you are left with these lovely and nutritious sweets instead of the ones from the shop that are so expensive and potentially full of nasties.
Also, gelatin is actually really great for your skin and your overall health in that it contains important amino acids.
I’ve adapted this from the Merrymaker Sisters recipe for paleo lollies. I also purchased a jelly lolly maker from a local craft shop, which is just a bit of a gizmo for making it more fun with the kids and providing cool shapes (though you don’t really need one). You can even just use ice cube trays as moulds if that’s what you have on hand.
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup fresh fruit or vegetable juice 1 1/2 tbs. powdered gelatin 1 tbs. honey, sugar, agave or rice malt syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small saucepan mix the juice and sweetener well.
Mix in the gelatin (add slowly so it doesn’t clump).
Allow to stand for 5 minutes till a soft jelly forms.
Place the saucepan onto a medium heat and continuously stir for 5 minutes until smooth.
Carefully fill silicon moulds or ice cube trays.
Place in in the freezer (or fridge works too) until set.
Pop out the lollies and enjoy!
Store in an airtight container for about a week.

Eating Animals
Week 2 day 6
Well the week is coming to an end. This week has challenged me a bit in every way. First off my aunt flow decided to visit 2 weeks early, making cravings like crazy, i’m also terribly bloated. I also pulled a hamstring so that set me back a little bit with the type of workouts i could be doing. luckily i work with massage therapists, so next week I can get my workouts back on track.
I’m excited to see what my weigh in shows on Monday! Stay tuned

i'm 15 currently have been researching vegan and have gradually stopped eating animal products all together the past week. Today is my first full day w/o any & I was just wondering if you have any tips? I drank 4 water bottles today, i didn't have any breakfast (shame on me), whole wheat bread w/ peanut butter and jelly for lunch and a few strawberries, and then i made a smoothie w/ kale, mangoes, kiwi, apple, chia seeds, and a few blackberries. I also had these energy cube things from whole
foods and some (vegan) white bread w/ dark chocolate and cranberries. I know this isn’t enough and I bought a lot of stuff today (flaxseed, almonds, fruit, veggies, tofu, and soy milk) I’ve been writing down everything like recipes and I also bought B12 supplements.. Anything else?
I think you’re doing a great job! As you said, just try to eat a little bit more, and If you can eat more often. I’m underweight (long ago before I went vegan) and I’m in the process to gain all my weight again. I’m with a vegan nutritionist and I have to eat every 2 hours so my body will not use my muscles to supply the energy and stuff. So just to avoid losing to much weight try to eat often if your meals are not big enough, also remember that breakfast is the more important meal of the day. :)

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away": it has long been known that incorporating fruits and vegetables into your daily diet is paramount to a healthy lifestyle. In a world plagued by processed foods, refined sugar, and an increasing obesity epidemic, knowledge about nutrition truly is POWER.
Fruits hold a wide variety of health benefits, and can completely replace your cravings for sugary-sweet desserts as you transition to and establish a balanced, healthy diet.
