🤔A question I get all the time is “what’s the best food to eat while dieting?”
Look, we know that certain foods are overall healthier than others. Is eating kale healthier than eating a donut on a regular basis? Of course.
But that doesn’t mean you should NEVER eat the donut.
Life is about balance. If you’ve gotten to a point where you will not allow yourself to enjoy an ice cream once in a while, even though you absolutely love ice cream, then you’ve lost that balance.
If you hate kale (🙋♂️) please stop trying to force feed it to yourself. Trust me, it ain’t worth it.
The “best” foods for your diet are the ones you actually enjoy eating.
The worst foods for your diet are the ones you hate.
But there’s a happy medium to be had.
Eat healthy foods that you actually ENJOY eating. And also eat less healthy food that you enjoy eating sometimes. Because you deserve to be happy.
You don’t need to eat apples if you hate them. Eat other fruit. If you hate chicken, don’t eat it. There are plenty of other protein options out there. Feeling that donut? Feel it right into your mouth hole. It’s okay to enjoy your food.
The best diet will always be the one that you can actually stick to. Depriving yourself of the food you love at all times is only going to make that more difficult.
