🎐First things first, where this man works. 🎐I'm of the personal opinion that Classic would work as a college professor, so stressful days for him usually involve long days of teaching. 🎐When he's stressed, he tends to get more sluggish and tired than usual, almost like his body's shutting down from it. 🎐So usually you'll only get a quick peck on the cheek or a kiss on the forehead, nothing too much, because you can bet he's headed to the bed to take a nap.

⊹˚₊⊹˚ʚ☕️੭ Fell

🍓This man works at a McDonalds. 🍓Due to his crass demeanor, no other company would hire him. 🍓He works solely in the kitchen, so a stressful day involves several rushes or training new employees. 🍓He expresses his stress through being more clingy than usual, looking for comfort from you as he wraps his arms and legs around you like he's a koala and keeps you from getting up to do anything. 🍓He'll pepper your face with kisses, whisper things in your ear that he'd usually never say; anything to keep you on the couch with him.

⛓Due to his sensitivity to loud noises, it's likely that Horror works in a library. ⛓A stressful day for him likely involves several people coming up to talk to him, kids being hooligans, or other nuisances that could possibly happen. ⛓Like Fell, when Horror gets stressed he turns into a big teddy bear. Unlike Fell, though, he won't speak, only bury his face into your neck and grunt when you try and get up to do anything. ⛓If you keep trying to get up, he'll give you a long kiss, wrapping his big body around you so it's impossible for you to go anywhere, a happy smile on his face.

Mayhaps marry me oak? 💍

You've known Oak for a long time. You met him a little while after he got above ground, you were the one to sorta help them get onto the farm, funnily enough! You told them about this old farm that was falling down, and they could fix it up and start to grow their own food. You even helped them get the seeds and such.

Oak and Sunflower, their names after their changed them from their old names, didn't trust you at first but they quickly warmed up to you once they were sure that you were trying to help them.

You and Oak were closer than you and Sunflower, and it wasn't because Sunflower didn't like you, just you and Oak were close. Sunflower seemed to enjoy teasing their brother about it, while Oak growled at them to shut up. 

You could see them getting better with their bodies and such, mostly after they were able to start to eat. They grew so many different types of veggies and fruits, stuff that would be easy at first but then they started to grow harder things, and you were so proud of them! 

Today you came over to their farm, reaching up and knocking on the door. It might shock other people but a few years after they got above ground, Oak told you that he had a crush on you and you two started to date. That was about... four? Five? Years ago. You were very happy with the relationship, he was a real sweetie!

He always tried to make you feel safe and happy, and if you ever seemed to not be feeling good, he would do anything to help you feel better. It was really cute.

The only thing that really bothered you was that he sometimes didn’t let you help out on the farm but that was just because he was worried about you. He didn’t want you to overwork yourself, even though he did it to himself pretty damn often.

When the door opened you saw that it was Sunflower on the otherside, who seemed to smile wider, “Ah Y/n, hello!” They say, “I’m glad to see you. I was starting to worry you wouldn’t be coming over today, bless my soul Oak’s been rambling about it” they giggle, putting their hand to their chest.

You could hear slight sounds from inside the house, Oak peeking around from the kitchen then pulls back, as if you couldn’t see them. What the heck Oak?

You hum and shake your head, looking up at Sunflower, “Thank you for the warm welcome Sunflower, sorry if I’m late. I needed to pick up a few things” you hold up your bag.

“Yes yes, come in, Oak’s in the kitchen” they pull you into the house, and shut the door behind you. You almost stumbled but you laughed, thanking them again, and walk over to the kitchen.

“You know that I could see you from the entrance, right?”

Oak jolts and looks over at you, getting a weak little smile on his face. He was wearing his normal flannel shirt, it had to be custom made because of his size but you knew that he couldn’t just stay in that outfit that he was in before...

Sunflower too.

“Ra...Really now?” he clears his throat, “Didn’t know that” he scratches at his skull with his fingertips. His fingers were so sharp, you’ve seen him use them as knives instead of trying to find a real knife.

"Are you okay?" you decided to ask, tilting your head to the side. You didn't like how nervous he looked.

Oak doesn't answer for a few seconds, his eyeshine looking anywhere but you until he sighs out slowly and he reaches into his pocket, "I..." he stops, letting out a soft mrrr sound. He seemed annoyed by something.

Before you could ask again if he was okay, he pulls out a box from his pocket and he holds it out to you, opening it, "M-Ma...Marry me?" he looked so nervous, now finally looking at you. Your giant datemate had never looked so small before. 

You stare at the ring, it was mostly silver and simple looking but shaped sort of like flowers. Then you looked at your datemate again.

Oak looked like he was about to faint with how nervous he looked. Finally, you broke out of your silence and you grin, jumping up and putting your arms around his neck, "Yes!" You start to pepper kisses against his face. He jumps, then laughs, putting one of his arms around your waist and holding you up, nuzzling his skull against your head, purring loudly.

You couldn't believe that he was asking you to marry him!

Starstruck

Pairing: Oak x Reader

Request: “can you write a oak fic where reader sees him riding his skate board at venice beach and she is kinda starstruck and he thinks it’s cute” - @lonelydance

Word Count: 1.5k

I was currently walking down to Venice Beach. I had just moved to Los Angeles and I was excited to spend as much time as possible at the beach.

I got to the beach and I found a park bench that was facing a skate park. I pulled a book out of my bag. Before I opened my book, I looked at all the skateboarders who were doing tricks.

One of them caught my eye. The guy looked familiar to me and I couldn’t seem to figure out why. He was super handsome, but I didn’t know why I felt like I knew him.

I ignored it and started to read my book. I would occasionally look up and see if I could remember why I knew this handsome stranger, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.

I put my bookmark in my book and decided to check my phone. I checked my Instagram. One of my close friends had posted something on their Instagram story, I decided to see what it was. It was a screenshot from Spotify of the Hamilton soundtrack.

Then it dawned on me, the guy was Oak from Hamilton. I had seen the show maybe a year ago back in New York. I couldn’t believe that we ended up in the same place. I hated to admit it, but I had a little bit of a crush on Oak.

I looked up from my phone and watched as Oak did a trick. As I watched him, I knew for sure that it was him. I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off of him. His tricks seemed so flawless and I was captivated.

Then, he did a jump and landed back outside of the concave part of the skate park. He stopped his board and stood there catching his breath for a second. He wiped some sweat off of his forehead.

Then, he looked over at me. I froze him, I hadn’t even realized that I had been staring this whole time. I could feel my cheeks heat up, as he stared back. I could see him start to smirk to himself. He winked at me and I quickly looked back down and pretended to read my book.

This was so embarrassing. It was one thing to embarrass yourself in public. It was a much worse thing to embarrass yourself in front of your celebrity crush in public.

Maybe, I had imagined it and he hadn’t noticed at all. I couldn’t help myself, I sneakily looked back up to see what Oak was doing. I saw him in the middle of a trick. He landed the trick and I looked down before he could catch me again.

I continued to read my book, but I couldn’t help but feel like someone was watching me. I figured I was just being paranoid, but what if I wasn’t? I had to look up to check again.

I wasn’t being paranoid, I saw Oak, across the skate park, staring right back at me. He smirked and waved to me. I panicked again and went back to my book. I couldn’t help but wonder how I got myself into this situation.

Then, a few minutes later, I heard a loud sound. I looked up and saw Oak, maybe ten feet away. He was skating along the outside part of the skate park and had fallen down.

I rushed over to where he was currently laying on the ground. I kneeled down next to him. “Oh my god are you okay?” I asked him, as I checked his arms for any major cuts. My mom was a nurse, so it was in my blood.

“Hey hey hey, I’m not hurt” he said, trying to calm me down. He grabbed both of my hands and stopped me from checking his arms. “Are you sure? You fell and you might of hurt yourself” I told him.

“I figured that if I pretended to fall, then maybe I could get the pretty girl, who keeps staring at me, to talk to me” he explained. I felt my entire face heat up. I quickly pulled my hands away from him and put my face in my hands.

I felt him grab my hands and pull them away from my face. “You can’t hide your pretty face” he said, smirking.

“I’m Oak” he said, sitting up. “Oh...uh nice to uhm meet you. I’m Y/N” I stuttered, feeling very nervous. “You recognized me, right?” He asked me. I felt like I had been caught doing something I shouldn’t of been doing.

“Pshh, recognize you? What do you mean? I have no idea who you are” I lied, unconvincingly. “Are you sure?” He asked, smirking.

“This is so embarrassing” I muttered to myself. “Don’t be embarrassed, I think you’re pretty cute” he said. “You what?” I asked, in shock. “I think that you’re cute” he said, slowly taking one of my hands into his own.

“Oh...well, um...that’s...or....um thank you?” I said, completely fumbling over my words. Oak smirked to himself. “Come on, let’s go sit” he said, standing up and pulling me up with him. We walked to the bench where I had been sitting, and sat down.

“So you come here often?” He asked me. “Not really, I just moved to Los Angeles. I figured I would check it out” I told him. “Oh you’re new to LA? Maybe, I could show you around sometime” he flirted. “I would really like that” I said, smiling.

“So do you skate?” He asked me. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Is that a no?” He asked, chuckling to himself. “Yeah, not even a little bit. I think I would break every bone in my body” I told him.

“How about I teach you?” He suggested. “Did you miss the part about breaking every bone in my body?” I asked, giggling. “Come on, it’ll be fun. I won’t let you fall” he promised me.

“Okay fine” I said. We both stood up and walked down the sidewalk, a little farther away from the skate park. “Okay, first things first” he said.

He took his helmet and placed it on my head. It was super loose on my head. “Look up” he told me. I looked up at the sky and I could feel him tightening the strap under my chin.

“Okay all good” he told me. He placed his board down on the ground, next to me. “So you’re going to stand with your feet parallel, and try to balance” Oak instructed. “I’m going to fall” I said, nervously.

“Then let me help you” he said. He held onto my forearms and I held on to his. I carefully stepped on to the board and then put my other foot on the board.

He moved my hands to hold onto his shoulders. I held on for dear life. I felt like I could fall at any second. “Your balance is off, do you mind?” He asked, as he put his hands in front of my waist. “Uh no, not at all” I told him.

He gingerly placed his hands on my hips and then repositioned the way I was standing. “See, much better” he said, smiling.

“So what now?” I asked him. “Do you want to try and move now?” He asked me. “I’m scared” I whispered. “I won’t let you fall” he said, holding my hands.

He started to walk with me and I held onto his hands super tightly. He let go of one of my hands and I kept going. I wasn’t really doing much. I was just standing there and balancing, but I was thankful that I hadn’t fallen yet.

Then out of nowhere, a dog came running across the sidewalk. I panicked, I didn’t know how to stop and I didn’t want to hit the dog. Oak saw it and stepped in front of me, stopping me from moving.

Unfortunately, I'd been going faster than I thought. I pushed Oak over and he fell backwards into the sand, next to the sidewalk. Since he had been holding onto my hand, I got pulled down with him.

I landed laying completely on top of him. “Oh...uh hi” I said, softly. “Wow, you’re gorgeous” he said, brushing a piece of hair behind my ear. I leaned in and softly kissed him.

His lips were soft and smooth. I felt like I was in heaven. He grabbed onto my hips with his hands as he kissed me back.

We pulled away and rested our foreheads against each other. “Wow” we both whispered at the same time. This caused us to both start laughing.

“So how about we get back to the lesson?” He asked me. “Oh, yeah” I said, standing back up. I grabbed his hands and helped him back onto his feet.

“So how was that for my first time skating?” I asked him. “Well normally I would say that it’s bad that you fell on top of me, but it did lead to me getting to kiss you, so I won’t knock off points for that” he said, smirking.

Your mental health has been a problem most of your life. Since you were a kid really. You have always struggled with it, so over the years, you got good at hiding it.

That’s what you thought. What you didn’t know was that Oak could see right through it.

The last couple of nights were the toughest you’ve had in a long time and since you were living with Oak now, he saw it all. He saw the breakdowns on the bathroom floor, you not getting out of bed, you not eating for days. He tried everything to help you, feeling so bad for you.

“Y/n, I want you to know that if I could, I would take away all your pain. You do you know that right, Baby?” he said as he was holding you in the bed. “I would make sure that you never have a frown on your face and that you know you’re loved every single day you wake up. I would, I promise.”

You just cried in his arms, hiding your face in his chest. You tried to speak, but nothing came out. Only muffled sobs.

“Shhh, it’s okay. You don’t have to say anything. It’s okay,” he said, rocking you back and forth, rubbing your back.

For a while, you were great. You were happy and energetic, but one day, it just hit you. Like a train.

You felt like the world was against you and you weren’t good enough. You felt like you weren’t good enough for Oak and it broke your heart.

So when he came home from work one day to see curled up on the couch, tears stained on your red cheeks, he broke down next to you. You’ve never even seen him cry, but tonight was different. He was so vulnerable and worried about you.

“Baby, please, what can I do? Please, I just want you to be happy, please Y/n,” he said, crouched down in front of you, laying his head on your lap, crying.

“I think I need to go back to my therapist. I don’t want to, but i need to,” you said rubbing your thumb across his hand.

“I just want to see you happy, Baby.”

It’s been three months. You’ve been going to therapy, taking your medicine, taking care of yourself. You feel better and Oak is happy for you. Everyday he tells you how much you mean to him and how much he loves you.

You still have bad days, but you have more good days now. Thanks to the love of your life.

A/N” Not happy with this, but I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone and write new things, plus this request has been in my ask box for AGES cause I’m a slacker.

You take a deep breath as you step outside into the city. Work had been hectic, and you were just ready to get home; maybe to take a bath, cuddle into bed with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth for the millionth time? You didn’t know, but you were ready to do it.

You loved your work, honestly.  As a counselor for troubled teens, you felt the moments of stress and frustration were worth it just to see these kids smile and take the weight of the world off their shoulders; shoulders that were much too young to even think about trying to carry anything they shouldn’t have to.

You tilt your head back as you walk down the street, just admiring the city that you loved and lived in. You’re letting your mind wander, debating on if you should go see a show this weekend, maybe even go for a run in the park when you hear the shout.

You stop and look around you. Nothing immediately looks like trouble, and you wonder if you were just hearing things when you see them. A young girl trembling while a figure tries to coerce her into their car with them. You take stock of the fact that her eyes are wide and teary as she shakes her head, trying to step away from the figure. She takes one step away, and he quickly reaches out and grabs her beaded braids, yanking hard.

You see red as you hear her screech.

“Hey!” You yell, running towards the two. “Get the fuck away from her you creepy bastard!”

The figure jerks back, yanking the girl with her in the motion. You quickly take in the mans features, Caucasian, blond hair, brown goatee, right before he throws the girl down and takes off. You whip out your phone and dial 911 as you reach the girls side. She’s weeping into her hands as she sits on the ground, now that you’re closer you can see her ripped shirt and scuffed jeans and you feel a fury inside of you.

“Hello 911, what’s your emergency?”

You shoot off the information you gathered from the incident while checking over the girl in case she had any injuries, no need to make a separate call if an ambulance is needed. Once you see no obvious scrapes or bruises you end the call, hoping they find the bastard, but sadly knowing the chances of that are slim.

“Hey,” you say softly, trying to appear as unintimidating as possible. “Everything’s alright now, he’s gone.” You hesitate before you place a hand on her shaking shoulder, relieved when she leans into the touch. Rubbing your thumb across the curve, you inquire, “Is there anyone you can call to come get you?”

At this, she looks up, her brown eyes red, watery and thankful.

“M-my cousin.” She stammers, “I’m...visiting my cousin. His…his number is…”

You hum as you input the numbers into your phone, “Is this your first time in the city?”

She nods her head as her lip quivers, “Y-yeah…”

You frown, “I’m so sorry this was your first experience of New York-“

You’re cut off as a deep voice answers the phone, “Hello? Who is this?”

You glance at the young girl and mouth ‘What’s your name?’

‘Evelyn’ she mouths back.

“Hello sir, I’m Y/N. I’m here with Evelyn, who says she’s your cousin?”

You hear a quick intake of breath before the man starts raising his voice, “Evelyn?! Is she okay?1 Where is she?!”

You quickly cut him off before he can get too riled up, “She is fine now. She had a bit of a moment with a stranger before I intervened. Are you able to come get her though? I don’t want to leave her on her own…” You trail off, watching as her shaking intensifies and her breaths become ragged.

You quickly rattle off your location once he gives his conformation to come retrieve her and you hang up. Raising your hand back up towards her shoulder you are taken aback by her slamming her body into yours, wrapping her arms around your waist.

There is no loud sobbing, or gushing tears but the freight is palpable all the same.

You you reach up to lay a hand on her head and wrap the other around her shoulders and make soothing ‘shhh’ sounds. “I’ve got you. Breath, okay? I’ve got you.”

What feels like hours, loud running footsteps near the two of you and you look up in time to see a muscular man looking frantic coming your way.

He stops in from of you and helplessly makes hand motions at Evelyn before speaking.

“W-what happened? Evelyn, are you okay?”

She looks up and starts tearing up at the sight of her cousins face. She launches from your arms to his, and immediately her wraps his large arms around her and lifts her in a comforting embrace and murmurs softly into her ear.

You raise yourself off the ground and smile at the familial scene, a feeling not unlike the one you get when you help your kids in the center overtakes you. You pick up your bag and start thinking about leaving when a hand lays on your shoulder.

You turn and look into the face of a thankful man.

“Thank you so much for helping her.” He starts, “I never think of the dangers for young kids out here because I haven’t been here long enough to really think much on it.”

He looks down and takes his hand from your shoulder, he rubs his own head and just looks so adorably awkward that you smile. “I’m glad I was able to help sir,” You begin-

“Oak.”

You blink.

You look over to Evelyn, who seems to have calmed down some, and she smiles nervously. “His name is Oak, and we want to treat you to dinner as thanks.” She looks down, “It’s a small payment for what you’ve done for me,” Her fingers twist with one another, but her voice is steady, “but we want to try.”

Your eyes widen in surprise and you look over to the man, Oak, in question.

He nods, a smile brightening his face.

“We really would.”

You look back at Evelyn who’s looking at you again, and you can’t help but nod and smile.

Your foot tapped up and down against your apartment floor.  Fiddling with the seam on your shirt, you glanced up at the clock above the front door. 6:29pm. The seconds hand ticked slowly over the clock face. You were waiting for Hercules to pick you up for your first date. 

It was no secret to your friends Eliza, Angelica, Peggy and Maria (who had helped you get ready minuets earlier) that you liked Herc, and you were ecstatic when he asked you out after class last week. Unfortunately, despite the fact Herc and your twin brother Alexander were best friends, Alex made it clear he didn't like the idea of you and Herc dating, so you had to keep it quiet. You were excited all week leading up to the date, but now as the time drew near you were filled with nerves. You, Herc and Eliza had a plan to keep Alex away but you still couldn't help but worry about what would happen if you were caught. 6:30pm. The minuets hand ticked and, on cue, you heard a knock at the door. You stood up, swung your bad over your shoulder and took a deep breath. Opening the door, you were greeted by a familiar face.

“(Y/N)”, Herc smiled. “You look amazing. I meant, that’s not to say you don’t look amazing usually- You always look amazing. It’s just- Oh!”, he stopped himself. “These are for you”. He handed you a bouquet of flowers and nervously shifted from foot to foot. You were glad he was just as nervous as you were.

“Thank you Herc”. You pressed a quick kiss to this cheek. You both blushed deep red. You offered him your hand, which he took quickly.

“Let’s go, before you realise how clammy my hands are”, he joked. “We’re going to the little coffee shop you like just off campus”.

“Javier’s?”, you asked. “I thought we were going back to your dorm. That was the plan we made with Eliza”

“Don’t worry, I texted her and let her know. Alex won’t be around”

“You sure? That’s his favourite cafe”

“I’m sure (Y/N). Don’t worry ‘bout it”. You walked hand in hand out your dorm into the cool summer’s breeze.

A quick peak at the clock revealed the time to be 8pm. Thank god Javier’s was open late tonight, because you and Herc was having so much fun you wanted to stay there all night. You sat together on a love seat, your head on Herc’s shoulder and two long forgotten cups on the table in front of you. You talked about everything, from class, to music, to the tailoring business Herc wanted to open after school. You were so engrossed in conversation, you didn't notice a text from Eliza pop up on your phone screen.

“(Y/N), can I tell you something?”, Herc asked.

“‘Course, anything”

“Actually it’s more of a question”

“Ask away”. Hercules put an arm around you and pulled you close.

“Can I kiss you?”. You had no clue what to say. The obvious answer was ‘YES!’, but no words came out of your mouth, so you just leaned in. Herc reciprocated and your lips met his. He carefully held you head in his hand and deepened the kiss. Just then, the door to the cafe opened.

“And so I said, ‘Thomas, that was a real nice declaration, but welcome to the present, we’re running a real college. And then he- (Y/N)?”. Alex’s jaw fell open. Eliza stood behind him, gaping. You and Herc jumped apart. “Herc?!”

“What are you guys doing here?”, Eliza frantically asked.

“You knew?”

“I sent you a text!”, Herc responded.

“What text?”

“Oh no...”. ‘Uh oh’ was the only thing you could think. You were sure Alex was going to get angry. He didn't want you and Herc together, yet, here you were.

“Alex, before you get mad,”, you began. “I’m an adult too. I can make my own decisions and I don’t need your approval and Herc is a great guy and-”

“(Y/N)”, he cut in. “I’m not going to get mad”

“You-, you’re not?”. You were confused. Alex was very hot-headed, and this is exactly the thing that would make him mad. 

“No”, he stepped towards you. “I’ve been thinking. I know I’m really protective of you but that’s only because I love you. And, maybe I shouldn't be getting in the way of you and Herc, because, if you want to date anyone, I’m glad it’s Herc. I’m sorry”. You stood quietly for a moment, shocked.

“Thank you Alex”, you whispered. “I love you”

“Love you too (Y/N/N)”. He pulled you into a hug. “We’ll let you get back to your date now. But please, don’t make out in front of me again”. You laughed as your brother and Eliza left the shop. You turned back to Herc.

“Sorry, where were we?”
