what is this?

This is the masterpost for my au, The Meaning of Family! Also known as my Lost Cousins/Relatives AU, for the show Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, more commonly referred to as simply Rise or ROTTMNT.

If you don’t know what ROTTMNT is, I have no clue how you got here lmao, but feel free to throw me an ask, I love info-dumping copious amounts of ninja turtle information at people.  

Regardless, everything I've posted regarding my AU is here! 

It's intended to be a comic series I want to make eventually, but as of right now, no official chapters are out yet.

However, feel free to look at all the wonderful art I have made, and read about the creation process!

I am currently; 

Letting planned posts upload. Working on plot in spare time. I have it mostly written out, and a vaugue idea for the ending. Chopping it up into chapters and re-reading and re-viewing plot points and the like mostly atm.

Expect in the near future;

Stuff more on the story process and where it started, and deleted scenes i wrote up back when it was a completely different story. After that probably a break for a little while, posts on other aus of mine.

Basic info on the series/what you might want to know;

takes place about a full year or so after the kraang invasion; the boys are now 18, 17, and 16. 

Theme; revolves around family, and finding/bonding with family. both found family and blood family. a mixture of the two, perhaps.

Very very little romance. There is a bit of a crush that happens between a few slightly more minor characters, but it’s a very secondary background sort of plot, and it’s only like one pair of characters for funsies because i can. Although ive been thinking about seperating it into its own story? Little unsure atm

The series is more so told in the perspective of my own characters, and not the rise boy’s perspectives. The series mainly revolves around Em, my little character I hath created. you will get the boys' povs probably, but not as much as the other characters. 

TW; a bit of angst I guess? maaaaybe? No gore or blood or any real violence. oh, and cursing. some characters will be cursing.

Idk its pretty tame, i dont think it needs any trigger warnings. Wrote it mostly as a comfort fic tbh. gonna be very wholesome probably
