Seungcheol and Bao have been by each others side from the minute they were introduced to each other. Even though they didn’t speak the same language they’d mutually worked together to look after the boys together. Their friendship is a bond that is unbreakable, a bond of silent glances and being able to understand each other 100% without much conversation. It made them 1/3 of the parent line.
BaoHan/ The Petty ones.
Although they are known to argue often, they love each other unconditionally and will legitimately fight anyone who crosses the line. Jeonghan was the root cause of a lot of Bao’s breakdowns before debut- mainly because he loved to play the game of how far he could push the Chinese girls nerves. Even to this day he still does this, but they are thicker than thieves now, casually throwing flirty comments toward the other and generally working together to cheat at every game.
BaoShu/ The gentle souls
When the fans say these two are as close as siblings they mean it wholeheartedly. Joshua took on the role of the brother quite quickly from the minute she tried to learn English to speak to him and Vernon. He is known to guide Bao when she’s in a problematic situation. Joshua and Bao have weekly lessons where he tries to get at least on English phrase in every couple of days, but majority of these lesson consist of Bao clowning him singing Sunday Morning.
BaoHui / The trouble makers
Jun deemed himself Bao’s number one supporter, full of love, but this man does not leave her to breathe for even a minute. Jun loves Bao with his soul and is not afraid to show so. They tend to recruit Minghao into one of their rooms and have nightly Chinese conversations, mainly to annoy Jeonghan or Seungkwan because they have no clue what they are saying. But seriously Jun and Bao automatically connected on a level the day that they all moved into the dorms, mainly because Bao was having a heart attack when Hoshi left his chopsticks standing up in the rice one night, and Jun tried to explain to her that its not a big deal in Korea.
MingBao
Although fans don’t find too many public moments of the two, they practice their flips and trick often. Bao has took it upon herself to train Minghao in her style of martial arts and they spend alot of their time together teaching eachother their styles of Martial arts. Carats have said they want more of MingBao because it is such a savage friendship and want to see how much they actually roast the other members.
VerBao
Crazyyyy people. Always going out and causing trouble majority of the time, mainly because Bao comes up with a stupid idea and Vernon follows with 100% confidence that they could do it. They usually team up to prank the others, only small ones, but it usually ends up with Bao blaming Vernon and ultimately throwing him under the bus. These two started off quite awkward due to the fact that Bao didn’t speak Korean or English, but that didn’t stop her from dragging Joshua into their conversations and forcing him to translate.
It’s finally here, I’m sorry for the long ass wait :( It’s not great but here you guys go!
Huannie couldn’t understand why it felt like there was something over her eyes making it difficult to open them, but she fought the urge to succumb back to the darkness and wrench them open, she felt like she hadn’t done that in a while. Her whole body ached upon trying to move and everything from physically and mentally felt foggy.
Feeling something wet on her cheek she brought her hand up to wipe it only to feel something tug in her arm, looking down she saw something plastic feeding into her veign, although everything was foggy she was well aware that the distinct shape of the the plastic thing on her arm was an IV.
She glances upward, her mouth pursed but slightly open and loose. Her eyes are fixed as if she’s looking at something a yard away, but in reality she was staring at the ECG machiene mimicking her distressed state. Finally she launched herself up into a sitting position and observed where she was. She was in the hospital room the managers would usually request when an Idol was needing medical attention, but it looked different. There were piles of letters stacked on the armchair, boxes of plushies scattered on the desk and alot of overnight duffle bags shoved into the corner.
“Hello?” She called out weakly, a few minutes pass and no one had answered. Throwing the dozen blankets off the bed in agitated disorientation she rubbed her eyes furiously. “Mom? Taeyong?” She called again, her voice cracking like she hadn’t used it her whole life.
There were scrambling footsteps outside of the door in the hall sprinting over to her door, speaking of the door it almost got ripped off its hinges as the nurse came inside to assess who was talking. This person Huannie had never seen before in her life. Although the brown haired nurse in front of her look unfamilliar there was a slight nagging in the back of her brain that she knew this woman. Her chocolate brown hair was in a beautiful messy bun; her doe brown eyes looked absolutely bewildered.
“Annyeonghaseyo... Um could you please tell me where my family is?” Huannie asked matching the womans terrifyed eyes, the woman still stares at the Idol with wide eyes, her mouth opening and closing, not being able to find the words to properly explain to the woman sitting in the bed what situation she was actually in.
“They- They should be due to arrive like usual- They’ll be here soon.” She managed to get out, the nurse stood at the door trying to remember what her senior told her about coma patients that just woke up. The nurse bows to take her leave but Huannie tried to get out of the bed to stop her/
“Who are you?” Huannie burst out with brimming eyes, the nurse turned to look at her with a tembling lip but only grabs her hand.
“They’ll be here soon, okay.”
Huannie couldn’t believe what was going on, she didn’t think she wanted to anyway. The last thing she remembered was telling Heechul to tie the belt around his leg, but it seemed alot longer had passed with such a reaction from the nurse. She forced her knees up, hugging them to her chest. Her hand working back and forth over what seemed like healed scars on her legs, all while feeling the irregular box like shape in her chest area. If she didn’t get some answers soon she had a feeling she would vomit, already she could feel the bile in her throat.
She saw the door opening slowly, revealing Park Jinyoung, standing at the door looking like he would vomit himself. Huannie assumed he was the one who was nearby considering he was alone, soon a worn out Na Jaemin entered behind him.
“Jagi? What’s going on- Why are you crying?” She asked worriedly watching as his knee buckled ever so slightly hearing her voice after four months of only hearing his own breathing. “Oppa?” Her voice cracked under the immense confusion circling around in her head, a scared tear slipping out of her eye.
“Jaeminnie? Tell me, what’s going on?” She asked the younger boy hoping that he would be of help, the teenager only stared at her with his beautiful eyes watering, but he at least had a relieved smile.
“You’re scaring me,” She voiced, only she wasn’t sure who it was directed at whether it was at the two standing in the room or at herself who couldn’t come up to an answer to any of her own questions.
It felt like a lifetime of sorrowful tears before one of them spoke.
“You’re awake.” Jinyoung says, slowly walking over to the armchair next ti her with Jaemin following quietly.
“Yeah.. I’m awake?”
“Angel, you’ve been- you were- you were in a coma.” He mumbled quietly, staring down at the hand he’d grabbed instinctively as he sat down. She stared back at him in pure loss for words as he stared back at her with an expressionless face.
Her heart leaped as she took in the faces of the boys, first trying to figure out if this was some kind of joke, but judging by their shaking hands and non stop tears her own hands seemed to trembled as she tried to remember what happened after the crash. “For how long? Like a week?” She asked desperately trying to get at least one answer out of the million that were drowning in her mind.
The two looked at eachother as if they didn’t know if they should tell her, for their own sake because they didn’t want have to talk about the events of what’s happened throughout the time she was lay in pain. But Jaemin spoke anyway.
“It’s been four and a half months Noona.” The teen whispered painfully as he grabbed her hand to steady his racing heart.
Huannie’s already dry mouth felt as if it had been sucked of any remaining water and threatened her tongue to smash into tiny little pieces. She shook her head in denial as she furiously wiped the tears rolling down her cheeks with her palm.
“This is a joke.” She snipped and laughed without any ounce of amusement. “It not a funny one, but some twisted joke right?” Anguish could be seen on her face as she desperately pleaded with Jinyoung’s eyes to tell her it was all a joke or a dream, but Jinyoung only shook his head.
“No, Angel it’s not a joke.” He replied placing his his head in his hand to rub away his tears.
“No, it’s not possible. It can’t be. I was with Heechul yesterday, singing in the car and then-”
Huannie cried as if her brain was being shredded from the inside out, emotional and physical pain flowed out of her every pore. From her mouth came a cry so raw that even the eyes of the people walking past the hospital room were suddenly wet with tears. She grabbed onto the two boys hands so that her violent shaking wouldn’t make her fall off the bed and from her eyes came a thicker flow of tears than she had cried for her own mother two years ago. We don’t really think about death, but when you find out you were close to it it unerves you.
Upon seeing her right in front of him, brick by brick, Jinyoung’s walls came tumbling down. As she clutched onto his hand the tears in his eyes turned into a hurricane. He just broke down as the nurse guided a soft smiling Jaemin out of the room. When they cried there was a rawness to it, like the pain of four months ago was still an open wound. They both clasped onto eachothers hands for support, anything that would tell eachother that the other was there, and then their bodies would shake. Jinyoungs sobs were stifled at first as he first panned to comfort the woman, but realising that she was there crying with him the wave of emotions hit and he broke down entirely.
“Jinyoungie?” She finally spoke. “Who was playing the piano? The one that Jonghyun was singing to?” She asked desperately looking into his eyes.
“Chenle played the piano last month, but no one was sing-”
“Jonghyun sang it in the meadow, he sang it to me.” She corrected him.
“Angel are you sure it wasn’t a dream?” Jinyoung replied. Huannie refused to believe it, she saw he late bestfriend playing the piano in the meadow she was sure of it.
After a minute of Jinyoung realising eaxactly what she was meaning he sat softly on the bed next to her and brough the crying woman into his embrace.
“Has it really been four months?”
He gave her a weak smile and squeezed her closer to his chest.
In the dark room of NCT Dream dorm, Huannie found herself up for hours peacefully surrounded by Haechan’s soft breathing as she edited Johnny’s recent video for his Youtube channel. Of course living in a dorm temporarily of teenage boys, the silence was short lived.
Surprised by the sudden creaks of the floorboard outside her room she practically jolted out of the desk chair, she stared at the door debating if she really want to spark up a conversation at 2am.
“Noona?” Jisung poked his head around the frame, he let himself in sluggishly and plonked down on her bed rubbing his eyes tiredly.
“What’s wrong Jisungie?” The older girl questioned moving to sit beside him on the bed, bringing into a side hug to allow him to put his head on her shoulder.
“Hyung is doing that thing again and I can’t sleep.” Jisung mumbled throwing his head back into the pillows, Huannie sat and processed what he said and nodded.
“Okay.” After untangling herself from his hold she threw the duvet over him and kissed his head. “Go to sleep Jisungie.”
Although the dorm lights were all turned off she could see a faint light coming from Jisung and Chenle’s room, specifically Chenle’s bed.
Slowly sliding into the room she watched the boy scroll through pictures on his phone, she quickly sat next to him and gently took the phone out of his grip, making him look up surprised. He made effort to avoid the sympathetic gaze she shot him.
“Why are you up Noona?” He mumbled sitting up to talk to her.
Some people never escape a traumatic point in their lives, they rarely do. It’s like a part of them doesn’t feel safe outside the bubble of safety they build up over time. Both Chenle was like that, always casting nervous glances to Huannie whilst in the car. She noticed he had a thing about sitting the closest to her in the vans, or sat in the passenger seat when she drives. He makes point of spending more time with her, to a point where every Friday is HuanLe’s day.
Huannie got like that sometimes there was some days where her head just doesn’t work. Especially when they are in the van, she tries so hard to focus but it’s like she’s running through water. After so long of being in the hospital room trapped in her own head the pain ebbed. She thought she would feel the pain in her chest forever, the long blade like feeling slicing into her heart making it clench.
They said you come out of these types of things stronger, and I guess it’s true but the people around you just have to deal with it.
“You know you don’t have to worry so much Ge.” She whispered bringing him into a warm embrace, he could hear the faint ticking of her pacemaker and it calmed him slightly, knowing that it keeps her here with them he didn’t hate it as much as Jaemin did.
“I know but I thought I was never going to see you again.” He whispered back playing with her rings much like she did to others, it was a habit he’d developed off of her. He looked up to her to see the smile he loved. There was a kindness and raw type of love in this smile, it was a smile of someone who laughed with ease. The type of person who lived life how she believed people should.
“Hey, i’m not going anywhere okay?” Her eyes were filled with gratful tears as she watched him smile back to her, the smile was so innocent and genuine. It set her unease aright. Her hands connected with the younger boy’s holding on to them tightly and squeezed them every once in a while. She began humming a tune that she’s heard in her dream the night before she woke up and Chenle slumped into her side willing himself to bask in this moment that almost didn’t happen.
Huannie’s arm securely around his shoulder, her eyes settled on his peaceful face, so happy yet can be so fragile at the same time. Perhaps she should seek out help for the two of them, it would be nice to help his anxiety calm down regarding her. After all she was better now, the others could be nervous but she knew she survived.
There was a heavy atmosphere with the Chinese members of NCT lately and the Korean members were trying their best to keep each others mind off of the situations. The tension was typically between WinWin and Huannie, the two both suffering the mistreatment from SM with foreign Chinese rookies, the younger one of the two began taking it out on his Noona and it was setting everyone on edge. SM had a similar idea to BigHit and decided to do an uncut and unscripted behind the scenes of NCT.
Johnny and Ten invited NCT U members to the trios house and had left Huannie to look after the members and keep them busy whilst the two other house owners went to buy food for them all. And the tensions kept rising between them as the group were talking about Boss.
“I think it suits you guys so well.” She complimented watching the dance practice video that she had to miss as she was on Weekly Idol promoting Baby Don’t Stop with Ten.
“It looks better when you’re not in it.” WinWin retorted harshly as Jaehyun scolded him shocked at his words.
“Have you got something you need to say WinWin?” She said calmly awaiting the long awaited blow up of the Chinese boy’s feelings lately.
“I’ve already voiced it.” He snapped.
“Did I do something wrong to you?” She asked her patience level lowering at ever syllable of her sentence, watching as the younger boy she favoured rolled his eyes disrespectfully at him.
“I don’t know did you?” He retorted as Jaehyun tried to get a hold on Ai-Huan as she stepped towards the younger boy angrily.
“I don’t know can you stop being an immature little bitch for a minute?” She shouted, more like screamed shrugging of Jaehyun’s advances to move her away from the boy.
Everyone stood in a silence, they were surprised Taeyong was between a rock and a hard place, do they take Huannie calm her down or do they try to talk it out with the Chinese boy?
“None of you understand what it’s like! It’s like I have no rights!” He fumed and Huannie huffed, this was the issue that her an WinWin were having recently, she wouldn’t lie he was right but taking it out on the members was wrong.
“There are six of us in the same spot as you! We know what you’re going through WinWin-ah. Do you think I’ve busted my ass for eleven years to get into this group to be starved? To wear minimal clothing because it’s appealing? I get more underpaid than you do and I still bought you the thousand Dollar ring you wanted because I knew you couldn’t get them yourself yet. I feed you all, I buy you clothes so do not come at me with I don’t understand!” She screamed, there was tears falling down her face now, her emotions she had been bottling in finally coming out much like WinWin’s. It was an explosion of emotion and WinWin felt like he had been hit with an emotional train, the same could be said for the remaining members in the room, they had no clue that their favourite smiles in the group were going through so much.
During the mess of what was happening in the living room the two boys had come back to what sounded like a war zone. Despite Huannie explaining her own situation it had seemed that WinWin was still bottling up his emotions and wasn’t done lashing out.
“Is that Huannie shouting?” Ten asked straining his ear to try and hear the details, the two gave eachother a pregnant glance before rushing in to difuse the situation. Johnny opened the door rapidly to see WinWin shove Huannie in frustration and the rest of the boys jumping in either to put a distance between the two, Lucas, Chenle and Jaehyun help Huannie up.
To say Ten was fuming at what he’d seen was an understatement.
“WinWin, calm yourself down.” Johnny cut in the chaos, taking note of how the Dreamies, Jaehyun and Taeil took Huannie upstairs to calm her down, the only people left in the room was WinWin himself, and a fuming Ten, Taeyong and Johnny.
“She doesn’t belong with us!” He screamed at the ceiling hoping his Noona could hear him, he couldn’t place why he was taking it out on the one woman who had supported him through everything, he felt so done with everything in that moment.
Ten stormed over to the boy gripping the jumper he was wearing at the time and shoved him backwards harshly.
“You want to act like a man in my house, pushing your Noona around because you lost your temper. Then hit me!” Ten was fuming, how dare the boy hold so much disrespect with the girl that had slaved herself to make sure the boy was living a healthy life.
“She’s agitating and clingy what else do you want me to-”
“You’re unbelievable.” Taeyong scoffed, he slammed the front door behind him leaving a deep in thought Johnny to monitor the situation.
“A girl in a boy group how does that even work?” The boy screamed again only causing Ten to shove him around the apartment.
“I understand you’re going through your dark moments WinWin, but no matter how angry you get you do not lay a hand on your Noona you got it? She has babied you for too long, it’s time you start acting like the man you think you are.” He pushed the boy towards the front door and gestured for him to leave. “Have fun walking back to the dorm.”
Johnny waited five minuted for WinWin to grasp the situation and grabbed Huannie’s car keys and followed after the Chinese boy, hoping to give him some advice before it was too late.
To say the fans hated the Entertainment company for a while was an understatement too.
