Ye’tífnu and Tstunlan in the Upper Plains

Hi I was wondering, I just finished your Isn't it lovely series, and was wondering if you could do like a headcanon with Gabriella and Spiders relationship developing?

awww my first headcanon ask; babes I didn't even realize there are still people reading Isn't It Lovely. So I will happily do this for you!

And Just make it more interesting I'm gonna add the rest of the family's relationship with Spider too.

Warning: None just fluff

Spider's relationship with Gabriella and Tonowari:

Gabriella is very accomodating for Spider, she knows what it's like to be an outcast, unwelcome at times and also have a father that sucks.

so when it comes to Spider she is welcoming and accepting of him

even with the fucked up history she had with Quaritch in the past she still sees Miles as his own person and his own person alone.

She takes the time to personally see to it that their Marui has space and room for Miles, going as far as asking Norm to always keep oxygen tanks for the boy to have with him and foods he can eat.

She starts introducing Miles slowly but surely to their people; asking Kaung to be his guide around the Village and for Tsireya to teach him a few things about the reef.

Tonowari is a bit wary of the boy because he is Human, but he doesn't treat Miles badly. He's worries often placated by Gabriella and even opens up to the boy when he sees his genuine love and respect for their land and learning their ways.

He goes even further to regail tales of their peoples history while he teaches him how to weave a net- Gabriella finds it cute when the bond^^

Tonowari get's comfortable with Miles enough that he even refers to him as his son one day randomly out of the blue when Miles announced he was leaving to go Tulkun riding with the Sully kids and Tonowari's response was "Be safe Itan" which caught both Miles and Gabriella by surprise.

Tonowari refused to acknowledge that he was aware that he called Miles his son and wants everyone to believe it happened without him realizing.

But he can't help by internally smile and melt at the fondness in Gabriella's eyes at him doing that!

They collectively even let Miles babysit and bond with baby Cordelia because surprisingly she's the stillest baby ever when Miles is around and fuss as all he when he isn't

Kaung and Aonung tease that Miles is Cordelia's comfort Human!

Spider's relationship with his new siblings:

Tsireya adores her new brother! Finds his sense of humor and mischeviousness endearing.

Is curious about the way he looks and wonders what Gabriella looked like as a Human and that makes everyone in the house curious too now!

(Keep in mind although Jake and Neytiri know what Gabriella looked like Human, and in extension Tonowari through their Tsahylu, their kids don't know what their mom looked like lmao)

Kaung is very much a dutiful older brother; protective and caring about Miles and his safety especially when he is very 'fragile'.

He has a heart attack every time Miles climbs a tree because he isn't like other Navi; he's bones are breakable damn it!

He learns to be less overprotective over time, but seriously having a sibling that barely reaches your knees can be tiring

(especially when he accidentally tripped on Miles once and almost fell on top of him when he was carrying chopped logs and didn't see Miles standing there)

Aonung and Miles in the same room- especially when you put Lo'ak in the mix- they are a deadly combination.

they are mischevious and only have 1 singular brain cell between them that it leaves Gabriella stress, Kaung annoyed, Tsireya entertained and Tonowari trying to stop his wife from choking her sons.

The amount of dumb things Miles and Aonung get up to is so much that everyone in the village is keeping count of how long it will take before they do something that will get them in trouble.

Since Gabriella is afraid to pull Miles by his ear like she does when Aonung misbehaves, she simply carries him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes while pulling Aonung by his ear whenever she's stopping them from doing dumb shit.

so all in all Miles is happy with his new family! Not a day goes by where Gabriella gets a grey hair from her children these days lol

he is very much loved by the family ^^

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 ; 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 chp six

Na'vieh awoke the very next day, feeling more stronger as she regained more of what she missed: consciousness.

To say that she wasn't treated right by the Sully Family would be a total lie, because all while they prepared to leave the island they've been in for refuge, the family of six treated Na'vieh like she was a tired baby. Not only now, but also the few days she had spent with them. They gave her everything she possibly could ever need, even their own possessions such as cloaks and toys for her to play with, they were from Tuk.

Although, it was Neteyam who most especially treated her like she was an elderly lady who needs help doing the simplest task. She would get annoyed every now and then when he checks up on her while she sat from the far corner, dazed as she watched his family and him fumble around and clear the things used for camp, but she couldn't really blame him.

Mayhaps she had been very sickly looking that he acted like that, that's what she thought.

It wasn't like Na'vieh didn't appreciate the gesture, she just couldn't believe she would come from trying to kill the father of the family to being treated like a guest welcomed into their fortress. Thanks to Neteyam, ofc.

And now that Toruk Macto and her are now in good terms, she had fully agreed and decided on trying to seek uturu for them with the help of her clan, the Metkayina clan. Jake and Neytiri, at first, didn't know what might truly come down to her decision, but they did eventually accept.

Both parents wanted their children to be assured of safety and, and Na'vieh was their only hope in achieving that. Fortunately, she gladly took the role.

Nevertheless, even if Na'vieh basically had a hunch that her clan would accept them just as she had accepted them as kind foreigners, she had a tiny bit of doubt still laced within her decision and she worried about it just as much as Jake and Neytiri.

However, she just sighed, pushing away the thought of everything that's been going on in her head. She had a frown on her face until a familiar person called out her name with a piqued voice, and instantly, her frown had gone upside down.

"C'mon! Na'vieh, we're heading out now!" Yelled Tuktirey, smiling brightly as she tugged on Na'vieh's arms after running to her while giggling and jumping around. Behind her were Neteyam and Neytiri, both of them had big pouches laid onto their arms. Still, both mother and son smiled at her.

Na'vieh grinned seeing how excited the little girl was, she stood up from the ground and soon followed them. Neteyam walked behind her, supporting her as always with his free hand.

"Dad said we're going to your home! Aren't you excited? I can't wait to see your home!"

"Yes, Tirey, that's right." Na'vieh answered back, but she couldn't help but think repeatedly about what would happen later once she comes back, not only from disappearing for days but bringing back a bunch of forest people, who happens to be the family of the legendary Toruk rider.

She knew her adoptive mother would go batshit, and she felt thrills just by the idea of it. Who knew what they were doing now? They were probably sending countless of reef warriors to roam the whole ocean and villages just to find her, the missing precious tsakarem of Metkayina.

Though, she was stopped from imagining getting her ass whopped by Metkayina's tsahik once she felt her feet touch the warm sand, telling her that she was now stepping into the shore where the bright sunlight hit her skin and the sight of the wide vast ocean entered her vision.

"Hey, Na'vieh." Suddenly, she heard Lo'ak call out to her even as she was still being dragged by Tuk and supervised by Neteyam. "I'm just curious, can you ride an ikran?" He asked, genuinely concerned about how a reef person could possibly handle what forest people think is normal.

But Na'vieh just stared into his face and paused in realization. "You mean to ask if I can ride that... that?" She pointed her finger at the Ikran Neytiri was calming and she could feel herself sweating in sheer nervousness. A question entered her mind, the same one that Lo'ak asked. How will she ride?

"She will ride Tokma with me." Neteyam spoke up all of a sudden, surprising even Tuk who has been listening to them all along. He had a slight smile on his face as he mentioned the name of his banshee, expecting everyone to agree.

But it wasn't the case. Everyone looked at him like he had just done a backflip, even Kiri caught on to their situation and butted in.

"You're joking." Kiri suddenly popped up, giving her brother a look with a clear meaning. But it was a facial expression Na'vieh couldn't interpret, so had to look at the siblings' faces back and forth with a confused look.

"What? You don't trust me? I can assure you'll be safe if you ride with me, and I'm the only choice you have." Neteyam proved his point and ignored Kiri, and instead looked into Na'vieh's dual colored eyes as if he was begging her to believe him. But Kiri didn't take this nicely.

"What do you mean she doesn't have a choice? She'll ride with me!" Kiri gasped, grabbing ahold of Na'vieh's wrist and giving her a look that clearly showed how much she disliked her brother's idea. At this point, Na'vieh was having assumptions that Neteyam couldn't fly properly, and Neteyam could see her ideas and grabbed ahold of her other wrist, trying to pull her away from Kiri.

"Get off, Neteyam. She'll ride my Ikran!" Kiri argued, pulling away Na'vieh just as Neteyam did. Her older brother, for the first time, gave an irritated expression and talked back.

"I'm responsible for her. Besides, you talk as if you've flown your Ikran your entire life. How would I know if you're eligible enough to not drop her on accident?" Neteyam retorted, offending Kiri.

After saying such words, he expected his sister to give up already but was faced with her angry face. "Kiri, when I tell you to let her go, let her go! She will fly with me, that's that!"

"No- Don't believe what that jackass says. Na'vieh, you'll ride with me, right?" Suddenly Kiri hugged Na'vieh's shoulder and smiled ever so dearly that she couldn't help but sweat from being torn by both of them giving each other glares.

As they battled some more, with Lo'ak laughing at them and Tuk running to get her father, she just stared off to nowhere and blocked their voices. Nevertheless, Na'vieh understood that, at the end of the day, she'll have to ride with someone's banshee.

She didn't have her Ilu, after all. The last she ever even seen her Ilu, named Vito, was when she set foot on the island the Sullys were in, and she could only hope that he was back at the clan and safe.

"What's going on here?" Walking from a distance, was Jake and Neytiri. As soon as they saw the tiny commotion, the eldest of the Sullys sighed exaggeratedly and scratch his scalp. "Neteyam, why are you fighting your sister, huh?"

Suddenly, both the hands that clung onto her wrist disappeared and she could feel them tense at their father's question. She looked at Neteyam who bowed his head and apologized quietly.

"We were trying to know who would Na'vieh prefer to ride with, Dad." Kiri explained and Jake sighed, giving his eldest daughter an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, Kiri, she will ride with Neteyam. Your Ikran is... a bit small to have two riders. I worry that since Na'vieh isn't used to flying, she'd panic and who knows what could happen?" Jake patted Kiri's head and she was forced to agree, but it didn't stop her from rolling her eyes at Neteyam.

"Fine." Kiri caved in, much to her disappointment, but Na'vieh squeezed her hand in apology before she went back to grooming her Ikran. She could comprehend why exactly she was desperate, at least in her opinion, to have her ride behind her the entire journey.

"Well... Neteyam, I'll leave her to your care." Jake finally said before going back to his Ikran, Neytiri eyeing Neteyam before following her mate. His son only nodded responsibly as he was told what to do, leaving Na'vieh with him as the rest of his siblings started mounting into their Ikran.

Na'vieh took this as a chance to speak with him. Surprisingly, just as she was about to look at Neteyam, she realized that she was already looking at her. She staggered for a moment before calming herself. "So... Mind introducing me to your Ikran?"

Neteyam hid a smirk. "Thought you'd never ask."
