Okay take two since the first time I made this post, Tumblr ate it.

I'll have to make this into a proper character page later but this is Síomha, a Reachfolk Shezzarine living during the time of Skyrim.

She was an alchemist for her clan, and during the time the Reach controlled it lived in Markarth. Like many others, she fled during the Markarth incident, but was captured by another Clan. They forcibly turned her into a Briarheart without her consent, something she actively did not want and had chosen not to pursue in her home clan. Hircine was not pleased with this, and blessed her with the gift of lycanthropy, which she promptly used to wipe out most of the clan that had visited such violence against her. Turns out a Briarheart werewolf is very hard to kill.

After this, I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing for Skyrim proper; she's not the last dragonborn, that's another character, but she is definitely *present* in some way. I know she'll at least be doing some kind of politicking to get Markarth returned to the Reachfolk. I also know she has a lot of disdain for Nords, most especially Ulfric. And she will have a ship I'm just not sure who that's going to be because she's turned her nose up at most of the usual suspects. *No* Companions specifically; she thinks they're not treating the Gift with the proper respect that they should.

Some other notes I'm not sure where to work into this text block since I'm just kinda lore dumping is that she's a trans woman and also she deals with chronic pain due to being a Briarheart. When she transforms she gets a short amount of time where the pain is dulled or even gone; I figure with her cells getting all rearranged to be wolfy instead of persony that it would take a bit for the pain to pick back up again.

New OC who dis.

I'll make a proper post for her later but this is Lucretia, she's an Imperial former-legionaire, and now a vampire.

Before the Planemeld incident, she was part of the contingent protecting the White-Gold Tower, and she was very proud of her position. When the tower was attacked by Molag Bal's minions, though, she was captured with the rest. When they offered her the chance to join them willingly, she refused. And unfortunately for her, they found her *interesting*.

She was taken captive in Coldharbour, and forcibly made into a Daughter of Coldharbour in addition to being a Vestige. And this broke something in her; she was proud of being Imperial, of being a Legionaire, someone that *protects*. But now she's a monster.

This is about all I have concretely, but she's also a very caring person and will often put others' needs before her own, which leads her to downplay her own trauma and not prioritize processing it.

So I haven't posted her yet but I have another new Vestige. :D

This is Ahlonaire and as you can probably tell already she has ✨issues✨. She was a student at the Arcane University when the definitely-not-the-worm-cult took over. And she caught the eye of one (1) King of Worms thanks to her uncanny resemblance to Vanus Galerion when he was young. And so he started taking a special interest in her and her progress and getting her into the cult.

Of course, she's quite young. An adult, but only just. And she's hungry for the attention and validation of her skills. She eats up his interest without even considering it might be a bit odd (yeah sure he's a little older but it's fine right he's being nice to her).

She doesn't question when he suggests she should cut her hair, or start dressing in robes with a more masculine cut. That she should stop braiding and that she should start paying more attention to necromancy than anything else.

(She doesn't notice that she hasn't gotten a letter from her parents in a while. Or that the cult's been blocking her friends from talking to her. And then, that she hasn't seen those friends in a while either.)

Eventually he suggests that she allow the cult to create a vestige out of her (he doesn't mention the chance of her becoming a mindless soul shriven, of course, because that would serve his purposes just as well) and she figures that if it were too dangerous, he wouldn't suggest it. And so that's how she ended up sacrificed, with the directive to seek out the other Vestiges that have been causing problems and infiltrate their group.

The relationship gets more and more and more abusive and cruel, and in this verse there is a brief amount of time where Mannimarco wins. And she gets to see a bit of a mask off -- he's more violent, more volatile -- and more critically how she's being used by Manni to specifically get under Vanus' skin.

She eventually leaves, to stop him, and then she's left to pick up the pieces and try to figure out who she even is anymore, now that she's left the cult and lost someone she thought really loved her but, of course, never did. Luckily, despite her severe mistakes, her friends haven't quite given up on her, so she doesn't have to do it alone.

That's as far as I've gotten but I do love her so much and I'm excited to figure out her better ending.

Shadow-at-Dusk (Oblivion) [tag]

Shadow-at-Dusk and her sister, Touches-Light-Softly (@azems-familiar), are escaped argonian slaves from Morrowind. Ever since they were children, Shadow saw it as her job, her duty, to protect the slightly younger Light; they may not be blood sisters, but they were the closest thing to family each of them really had. When their master died, and would rather see his slaves dead than freed, Shadow fought like hell to protect Light and, with the help of the Nerevarine, they escaped.

They arrived in Cyrodiil not long after the incident involving the Nerevarine and Dagoth Ur had concluded. Shadow quickly took work fighting in the Arena for coin, to take care of and provide a home for Light. The sisters didn't have much, but they at least had a home. But while Shadow was off getting her hands bloodier and bloodier for her sister's sake, Light was falling in with the Thieves Guild. And when a job goes wrong, and Light is arrested, Shadow has no idea. She only knows that her sister is gone, and in her frantic search, she accidentally kills an innocent bystander.

Shadow hides the evidence as best she can, then flees the Imperial City, fearing that somehow this would get tied back to her sister, wherever she is. But the scent of blood on her is far more powerful than she thinks, and she winds up being found by Lucien. Hesitant at first, but quickly drawn in by the acceptance and love shown to her by the members, Shadow quickly makes herself a name in the Dark Brotherhood. A name, and a home.

But then, on a contract, she learns her sister is still alive. Alive, and protecting Tamriel's best and only hope.

Visual Headcanon note: She can lay her fins down, like the dilophosauruses in Jurassic Park, when she's relaxed or feels safe, or she can force it with some effort if she needs to pretend. When she's aggressive or angry, they're standing up like on her model. Also argonians are reptiles they shouldn't have boobs, and so she doesn't. That's all.

Leyathil (ESO) [tag]

Leyathil is the Vestige and trusted adviser to Queen Ayrenn before that. Skilled at political maneuvers, she's a long-time rival of Abnur Tharn -- it came as quite the surprise to find that he was connected to the Planemeld. As they worked together to stop Molag Bal, they grew closer, to the other companions' chagrin (especially Lyris; she and Leyathil become close friends but she absolutely does not see what she sees in Tharn).

After the Planemeld is stopped and Abnur runs off with the amulet without so much as a goodbye, Leyathil returns to Ayrenn's court for a time, where she discovers that Leyathil is pregnant. Ayrenn, considering Leyathil moreso a friend than just an adviser, insists she stay at court in her condition, and Leyathil is in no state to argue. (She does her best to not show how hurt she was by Abnur leaving; everyone told her, after all, that she shouldn't trust him and she didn't listen.)

When the baby is born, he seems...odd. Leyathil puts out some quiet inquiries along trusted channels until she gets her answer; the child is Dragonborn, likely blessed by the Amulet when Leyathil used it to defeat Molag Bal. Afraid for him and also being called away to handle more crises, she leaves him under the protection of the Wilderqueen.
