Jungkook and his ship are undeniably bound together by more than just simple convenience- and everyone knows about it, though not all believe it to be true. After all, it sounds more like a tale mother's tell their children; a pirate captain in love with his ship's Siren.
You're sitting on the bowsprit, your song echoing over the ship, a soft tune to calm the seas and persuade her into granting you a safe journey, at least until your next stop. Strangers call your kind bad luck, witches, or even worse things down the line. But Jungkook had learned that you're more than just a lost Siren bound to the ship he'd repaired and taken back out to sea with his crew. You're a blessing more than a curse; connected to the very waves that carry the vessel and him wherever he sees fit.
And while his crew had been wary of you, and your agreement had been nothing but professional at the beginning, there was no use in denying his growing emotional connection to you after a while. You're more than just a daughter of the sea; you're more than just the main part of drunken men's dreams.
You're his.
He slowly walks closer, and you end your singing to look down at him, before smiling, eagerly making your way down the bowsprit, almost jumping into his arms with playful nature, making him chuckle as he holds onto you. The wind picks up, pushing into the sails, moving the large ship a bit faster across the waters. Slowly, everyone walks onto the deck, rubbing the sleep from their eyes while jungkook brushes some hair out of your face. "Did you sing the entire night again?" He wonders, and you nod, arms around his neck as you look at him.
"I cannot steer the ship alone." You tell him, a teasing tune to your voice. "And when you all sleep, how else am I supposed to keep you safe?" You wonder, and he smiles, pressing a short kiss to your lips.
"You're a blessing, you know that?" He tells you, and you grin, before detaching yourself from him, jumping onto the corner of the ship, holding onto a mast.
"So I've been told." You tease, and he smiles.
"By whom, I wonder?" He retorts, looking around the mast you hide behind; your face suddenly in front of his.
"A very handsome pirate out at sea." You say, and he hums out a reply, walking to the front of the ship again, your feet following him, before you hug him from behind. "Though he sometimes has some foolish ideas."
"My ideas are brilliant, take that back!" He argues playfully, holding onto you as you try and escape his grasp with laughter. But he won't let you.

When the moon shines down onto the ship at night, and everyone's asleep but you, comes the time you're needed most.
It's not only the sea that tests you over and over again, craves to know how far you'll go to keep the one's you've come to cherish safe- it's other beings lurking below the waves that want to feast on the poor men's souls resting soundly on board.
It's when you become a fierce predator as well, a force to be reckoned with.
Sharp eyes and open ears are on full alert as you sit on the very tip of the bowsprit- the perfect spot to make sure you've got a good view on what's going on below. You technically need to sleep too- but there's no way you'd ever let jungkook and the crew vulnerable and out in the open like this. And it's necessary it seems; as you can see equally reflecting eyes underneath the surface, similar to yours.
Sirens have long started to hate the one's that bind themselves to ships and the crews on board.
They see them as traitors, as one's who play with their food- misbehaving like little children, nothing more. And it's clear that they don't even look like you anymore; sickly pale skin, blue veins visible underneath and darkened whites of their eyes- shark like rows of teeth hissing at you as they try and get onto the ship.
But you won't let them.
You hiss back just as aggressively- diving into the waters below as the Siren grabs after your ankle, scratching at the golden bracelet- a gift from jungkook, something you hold awfully dear. It's basically an insult for her to even touch it.
It's yours.
Underneath the waves, you scratch at her neck- making her angry, as she goes after you as well. The moonlight has changed your form from humanoid beauty to the monster you actually are, and see yourself as. If jungkook could see you like this, would he recoil in horror?
No.
Because he already has, he already knows- he's already seen you. You remember it vividly, the way you cried, the way you begged him to just kill you now that he knew your darkest secret.
But he'd kisses you instead.
And its why you're fighting down to the bone, your blood mixing with hers as you bite and scratch until one of you gives up. No Siren is ever truly loved, only ever admired for her beauty, but only until they see what's underneath. But you're different. You're loved, truly, without any reason- and it makes you ignore all the pain yiu feel as you snap her neck.
Ending the fight.
You slowly swim up again, grabbing onto the ladder on the side, hardly making it up on board again- loosing strength at the last few steps.
But there's a hand grabbing your wrist, pulling you back to safety.
And as you rest back in your captains arms, a blanket thrown around your body, you softly hear his thanks and praises, before falling into unconsciousness, your body unable to stay strong for now. But you don't need to, as the sun slowly rises in the distance.
