Tiny detail about the photos BostonNick took at the lake….

So they took multiple photos not just one cause Nick asked? Also nick is smiling his ass off because in his photo Boston took it. It’s Boston taking a photo of him. THEN SAD BOSTON TRYING TO GET OVER NICK AT THE BAR is staring a photo that Nick took of the two of them on Boston’s phone. The vibes of these photos are also very different. Nick’s phone photo is so happy but it could possibly be mistaken for bros hanging out. While the one on Boston’s phone is darker expressions more relaxed but that possessive arm about nick can you mistake that for anything other than… people in a relationship?

They both are desperately trying to figure out how the other person feels about them. Nick is hoping Boston wants more from their relationship. They had so much fun together as people. That lake date was a window into a future Nick has been longing for and the photo is the cherry on top of the cake. But Nick is staring at this photo trying to figure out if Boston feels the same. Meanwhile Boston is staring at his photo that Nick took of him probably wondering what Nick was thinking when he betrayed him twice. Thinking about why Boston allowed Nick to become so close to him. To Boston in this photo Nick was seeing the real him. Nick had stuck by his side after Boston had fought with Ray and been told to run away from Boston with all his might. But Nick stayed. Boston is mourning a person who cared for him beyond his body. Trying to convince himself his feelings for Nick that still linger are annoying (I’m gonna talk about that later when the emotions have recovered.)

I can't help but notice that Sand's jacket cuts off his Andy Warhol shirt so it looks like it says "WAR" throughout this entire exchange with Ray.

I love Boston and he deserves Nick.

I get a lot of flack for having the chaos boys as my favorite duo of only friends. Sooo allow me to rant about my reasoning here. I get a lot of ‘ohhh you must like the sex scenes bet you like VegasPete’. No… actually… Sex is just a part of adult life. Im personally not interested in dick but I do like my characters to be realistic. Being promiscuous doesn’t make you an evil person. That isn’t my lifestyle but I can respect people who live that way. What I love about Boston is his confident persona that clashed with his smart cunning underbelly. I don’t think he’s malicious or narcissistic. Boston is a confident gay man who is loyal to his friends only. Now you might say wtf to that understandable but in Boston’s head he has done nothing wrong except let Nick get too close. Top is like him and in his logic Boston called dibs. He knew he’d be there for Mew when things went down but he didn’t expect everyone to find out about him and top. Boston probably thought he was accelerating to the end to protect his friend. I think this is also why he tells Sand Ray’s ass is fully owned by Mew. In Bostons mind he was helping Ray cut the bullshit. Boston is honest 90% of the time which makes him our most reliable character. AND YET WE HAVE YET TO REALLY GET HIS POV we know so much about him without being in his chaos mind. Do you know how impressive that is? We can also see Boston change from the start of the series being heavily effected by his fights with Top Mew Nick and Ray. He isn’t a 2d boy who falls in love and magically is fixed. While I think he knows what his feelings for Nick mean He intellectually has made the decision to reject him which makes me want their relationship to work out even more.

As far as Nick his oversteps are pretty normal for someone with too much tech knowledge on his hands. Yes it’s wrong. But terribly tempting when you have access to it and see how the world regards privacy as a fiction. I like how Nick tries his best to not fall for Boston it’s extremely endearing. Nicks heart wins out every time. I’ve been in have relationships with people that others say “hey that person is trash” but to me I like to look beyond the surface. Everyone has their own motivation. Everyone has their own struggle with social things so… it’s not fair to judge someone too quickly. Sometimes you click with someone forever changed with the touch of a hand. It’s not some fairytale. Nick wants to see Boston be happy and for him to actually see Nick is at his side. No matter what Boston does. Because regardless of other people their spark remains. Unfinished and true. Honest and Nasty. Chaos.

Together Boston and Nick make eachother better. Boston looks outside himself more often and Nick gains confidence. They do balance eachother out. I don’t feel like one is really the hunter and the other is the prey. They are both Savage it’s just Nick is quieter than Boston so gets out in the shadow. I’m excited to get to the point where they are both chasing eachother and hit into one another again.

Okay I’m ready to talk about episode 8 and Boston & Nick’s little convo.

Ground rules Let’s all agree Boston is decently intelligent. Let’s also agree in episode 8 he’s cooled off from Nick’s immediate betrayals. It’s debatable what emotions Bostons is feeling towards Nick. It is possible Boston is pissed angry hurt never wants to see Nick again. But I really doubt it. What I’m leaning towards is… Boston probably knows the reason why Nick recorded him and Top. It’s not your run of the mill jealousy. Nick told Boston multiple times that he was insecure about his own appearance. Boston noticed right way when Nick changed his appearance going to the gym etc. If Boston thought about it he’d put two and two together and realize Nick’s love for him wasn’t just hurting Boston. Nicks actions with mew viewed in this light also make a cruel kind of sense. Boston also after cooling down and having the image of knocking nick to the ground in his head forever Boston while staring at the photo of the two of them together realizes how fucking screwed he is because he also misses Nick even with all the knowledge he has of Nick’s betrayal now. Boston has feelings which makes his decisions even more painful. He wants what’s best for Nick and in Boston’s head that certainly isn’t him. He should be nothing to Nick to protect him. If Boston didn’t care he’d have gone out of his way to turn the knife off the bat when Nick walked up. Instead we get a calm hurt when Boston can even look at Nick.

How dare YOU. Nick specifically. Because Nick was someone to Boston. That’s why eye contact can’t happen when Boston looks at Nick he’s reminded how much he loves Nick. Now Boston has to cut him off for both of their own good. Boston is leaving and Nick doesn’t need to change for Boston. Boston already thinks he’s perfect stalking tendencies and all.

I think Boston’s conversation with Atom is another admittance that what happened with Nick was more than just sex. Boston is acting like he also just had a breakup he says he only wants sex now. He wants something anything to forget Nick. I don’t think ep9 is going to go the way Boston wants. Having sex after a breakup is painful because you can remember how great being with your partner was in comparison and to add on top of it Nicks photo is going to be nearby. I feel like the regret is going to be off the charts because Boston can’t just cut Nick off. Comparing Nick to Atom is night and day. Nick doesn’t just think of Boston as a piece of meat. He wants Boston as part of his life and Boston is going to mourn this.
