So we all know Law’s home country burns to the ground and everyone with it, meaning he’s the only Flevian left and likely the only one who can speak the language now?
Yeah I think his crew would pick up small phrases just from context clues like “verdammt noch mal” or “verschieben.”
But I think Penguin would try and learn Flevian fluently, he’s a sneaky little shit so he’d do it without Law knowing. An old run down bookstore where Penguin spots a section for foreign languages and right smack dab in the middle is Flevian, right next to Swalli. He’d absolutely take it and hide it from his captain.
I also think Shachi and Penguin would understand how Law feels the most, I mean most of Swallow had to have been taken out by that tsunami. They get him by wanting someone to talk to in their mother tongue. And by god, Penguin is learning.
