You know what, I actually adore robin more than Sunday.
My girl has been through shit and hell – she's been shot, faces constant harassment as a celebrity on a daily basis, faces a shit ton of pressure to keep up appearances, most likely also faces harassment WITHIN the industry, most likely also has many parasocial fans and stalkers as a cosmic superstar, is constantly giving her all by setting up charities and all kinds of helpful organizations, despite being practically ghosted by the very people she grew up thinking would support her, and still managed to pull her own weight when people needed it and showed up to help in whatever way she could when the iron tomb crises had arrived.
Not only this, but she's clearly someone who tries to tough it out more. Sunday was the more sensitive, malleable kid (which is one of the main reasons I believe Gopher Wood targeted and groomed him); whereas Robin held onto reality and found a way to make her ideals and hopes come true, while also remaining grounded in their feasibility. She was one of the first few people to wake up from Ena's dream because she's THAT grounded. She's smart, good at what she chooses to do because she embraces it wholeheartedly and genuinely loves doing what she does, chooses to be humble and keeps giving to her community, and isn't a wishy-washy girl. She's a hard ass woman, who's kind but not soft. When she realised Sunday had gone astray, she resisted like hell instead of despairing that she was going against her brother. She knew very well it was Sunday when they had their "farewell" in penacony when he was a fugitive.
Yall can not underestimate Robin, she's honestly one of the best characters in terms of morality. She's intelligent enough to know where the line between idealism ends and realism starts. She knows what she wants and holds onto hope. She makes things work and works hard as hell for them.
Now, I have to make it clear that I'm not dunking on Sunday – he is a great character in his own capacity, but I feel people tend to isolate out Robin more like they lived 110% different childhoods. Robin also grew up under Gopher woods care. Robin also felt the distance between them growing. Robin was also isolated and pushed away. Robin has also lost her mother.
Robin has also faced her fair share of grievances, and I'm not putting Sunday down to favor her. I just really appreciate Robin and the way her character is so stubbornly kind while remaining grounded. Shes the Charmony dove that kept trying. And I adore her so much for it.
