One thing I hate about endgame is how they make Thor a depressed alcoholic and it was…a joke???? And then he magically recovers from his addiction in love and thunder because haha funny fat man isn’t funny anymore I guess
I stand by my opinion that thor & clint's storylines should have been swapped (thor, after chopping thanos' head off goes into a berserker rage and turns into a judge & executioner, clint holes himself up in a NYC apartment in a depressive spiral after losing his family. his hands shake, and he's unable to shoot an arrow straight) BUT thor’s story could have been so compelling & meaningful
thor's weight was NEVER the main issue. it was his trauma (which it seems love and thunder essentially ignores). thor lost everything. he lost his entire family (odin, frigga, loki). he lost his closest friends (the warriors three). his entire planet was destroyed, a ton of asgardian lives were lost, and then thanos kills even more of them. he was sent into a depressive spiral coupled with debilitating anxiety to the point that he couldn't leave his house. he drinks constantly bc he doesn't want to be in a state of mind where anyone would ever bother asking for help, bc he doesn't trust his own capabilities. he thinks he's worthless bc he failed to protect those he loves most, not bc of his weight. that was just a side effect of what he went through.
instead marvel decided not only was that just a laughing matter, but it was something they could easily undo at the drop of a hat.
Ok so apparently it was custom when courting someone in the Viking age to pull said person onto your lap to show you liked them so if you will, just imagine the Avengers having dinner and stuff when Bruce tells a joke and everyone starts laughing only for Thor to just...pick him up and...lap...and like everyone’s so confused and Clint’s still laughing either from the joke or what just happened
Thor: Online games are bad for one’s mental and physical health. Everybody should cut them out of their lives immediately. Nat: *smirks* Did you lose again? Thor: ...no! Nat: … Thor: … Thor: Perhaps. Nat: *raises an eyebrow* Thor: Silence!
Thor: Oh dearest, sweetest sister of my heart-!
Sigyn: What do you want Thor?
Thor: I... I was hoping to get your help with a delicate matter.
Sigyn: What have you done now to piss Loki off?.
Thor: It was an accident!
Sigyn: Is that going to matter when he finds out?
Thor: ... please help me. 😢

“I can’t imagine a world without you in it, either.”
(edit: I accidentally put another “two” in the first picture. Sorry!)
(edit 2: I’ve just realized that I have carelessly written ‘on’ as ‘of’. My apologies!)
Drabbles - “Please put your penis away.” 😘
The guards averted their gaze.
Sif covered her eyes with her hand.
This was her fault. She had been the one who’d insist they rouse Thor from his sleep. She had been the one who’d determined this enemy warranted their King’s attention.
“Tell me where the villains are?” Thor demanded.
He had Mjolnir in hand, thunder crackled overhead, and he would have looked every inch the hero, ready to defend Asgard, if not for one fact.
Loki looked up irritably from their shared bed and threw a cushion at Thor’s back.
“You’re naked you idiot,” he hissed.
One of the guards nodded in hasty agreement.
“Please put your penis away, your majesty,” he said.
