Old Paths, New Adventures

In my prayer journey I’ve been motived by many lesser aspirations like guilt, approval before others and even a ego-driven desire for church growth. Of course, a passion for revival can even trigger more prayers. Yet, in the long run, we must remember that there is a difference between seeking revival from God vs. seeking God for revival.

Be Pagan

Just imagine that all our deepest traditions are the branches of a giant tree that rises to the top, even surpassing the clouds, while others are busy praying to the tree, we are climbing, sleeping and eating this tree that was sown by previous gods, oldest than our own gods many millennia ago, in the end we probably are all going up the same path from a different branch, looking for light, wisdom and purpose.

Old paths.

The pastors say everything is fine with the Lord, while the people in the assemblies are unrighteous and unholy. As the world has gradually deteriorated in righteousness, so also have the assemblies. The way of the Lord is far away from the way of the world. People are unwilling to repent and turn to a modest and chaste life. The humble will listen and turn to a godly life, but many Christians are unwilling to repent, are unwilling to change their lives so that they may be well pleasing to the Lord. Many Christians have a conscience that is so calloused that they don't even recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, so that they may obey it.

Jer 6:14-16 [WEB] They have healed also the hurt of my people superficially, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?
