Gerontius "Old Took" telling Bilbo tall tales, Adamanta Took serving elevenses, and Tiny Bilbo looking for water sprites were all drawn as part of this year's @tolkienrsb and illustrating Tall Tales of the Small Folk by @shantismurf. This was a fun collaboration!

I've often wondered HOW Gandalf met the Old Took, and what kind of adventures they had, like they're written as damn good friends AND I NEED TO SEE THAT, PLEASE, SOMEONE PLEASE REC OG GANDALF AND HOBBIT ADVENTURES, I NEED IT.

He had not been down that way under The Hill for ages and ages, not since his friend the Old Took died, in fact, and the hobbits had almost forgotten what he looked like.

The Adventures of Belladonna Took
dir: Peter Jackson
Belladonna Took is the eldest daughter of Old Took and has never felt truly settled in the Shire. She longs for mountains and adventure. Her desires seem to be fulfilled when Gandalf the Grey comes seeking someone with which to share and adventure. Belladonna happily leaves her everyday comforts, along with a ensemble of suitors, chief among them Bungo Bagins who attempts to woo her with promises of building her a fine seminal (likely built with her money).
As she steps out into the Blue, Belladonna quickly learns the world is much bigger and more dangerous then she ever imagined. She may also learn that many roads, while long and winding, eventually lead back home.
