DFP Actors August: Oliver Driver
NZ actors tend to end up in a lot of the same shows over the years it seems. I have a lot of fun spotting familiar faces, so I thought this would be a fun and silly little project, seeing which actors have repeatedly been in things that Deano was also in (not necessarily alongside). Just a bit of trivia. Enjoy!
Shortland Street (1996/1999)
Dean played Nurse Harry Martin in 1996.
Oliver played Nurse Mike Galloway in 1999.
Dean played Johnny.
Oliver played Speed.
I bought this on ebay but I still haven't watched it, haha.
Dean played Andrew, one of the actors in 'Heart of Hearts'.
Oliver played Matt, one of the writers for 'Heart of Hearts'.
This is such a funny show. You can watch it on NZonscreen. I actually really like both of their characters. Actually, most of the characters are really enjoyable I'd say.
The Almighty Johnsons (2011-2013/2012)
Dean played Anders Johnson, one of the main characters.
Oliver played Eggther in S2E9 & S2E10, a Giant who was sent to kill someone but ultimately ends up reasoned with. Very cute plot wrap up actually.
Also some random old Angelfire site claims that Dean and Oliver were once flatmates?? I have no way of verifying that, haha. But I hope if they were that they're good friends.
