Kaito would also know who isn't the mastermind because they died. So he'd like... Stop Kaede from doing the thing/maybe save Rantaro, and basically his suspects for the mastermind would be the final 5 that were left when he died. But since he trusts Maki and Shuichi with his whole heart, that narrows it down to Kiibo, Himiko, and good ole Smoog.

thaaat's assuming kaito even thinks there's a mastermind to be completely honest, i'm pretty sure without anyone pushing for it kaito would refuse to believe that any of them could be against the group, and considering how tsumugi himiko and kiibo reacted right before kaito was gonna die, i doubt he'd want to suspect any of them. kokichi would probably be pretty firm about there being a mastermind but kaito's really stubborn (as stubborn as kokichi even lol) so it'd probably just be a point of contention for a while until kaito is forced to acknowledge it

But when has anything ever been that simple? Especially now that Theo is discovering that there might be something more to the intrigue that Liam had always stirred inside him. Even if that may not matter when a familiar face returns to Beacon Hills.
