‘’ DEFUND THE POLICE ‘’

When I first heard about this topic I had a couple thoughts on it as I have many of those on different things. To start off I want to bring up how AMERICA is still currently in flames; we still have a pandemic going on you may know it as COVID-19, Protest for BLM and ICE are still going on today even though the media might not be showing it because the majority are no longer VIOLENT and we are still waiting on justice for multiple hate crimes and crimes within themselves against the black community . If you're a news junky might I say you've had your money's worth lately because the year 2020 has brought us hell! Now to get to the topic '' DEFUND THE POLICE '' I want to say that I see why there are millions who would want this but at the same time it must be understood that we must have a police unit because if we defund it think about what areas are actually going to be able to afford the cost of having a private organization destined to face any sort of crime. A lot goes into this conversation because we have to take all view points into consideration and make a decision that factors for the majority of the popularity. I want to make it clear so I don't have you guys saying that I'm contradicting myself with my last blog post; As I mention in my last article I mentioned that no matter who you are or what skin color you have you must be held accountable if you brake the law. We must see that there are good people and there are bad people and there are good cops and there are bad cops and it is not okay to condemn the majority because of one's actions. This goes for race and profession; it is not okay to label someone or a group just because you see someone else do it! do your research and educate yourself on ways to prevent the situation from growing. I believe the answer to our countries police unit is to REFORM IT, make cops have mandatory monthly check ups to make sure they are mentally stable due to everything they face on their every day jobs. In my opinion it should be required that a cop graduates with some sort of psychology major due to the fact that they work everyday with people! also instead of giving them so much overtime make them have to meet a required amount of hours taking law classes as they are also in charge of applying the law everyday ! I'm sure there are many more effective tactics that can be taken into effect and applied in order to have a better outcome for our societies. Now this is just one of many blog post that you come across but what is important is that you take action if you are in position of power to make these changes come to life. If you are the average joe help in whichever way possible some but not all that can be done to spread the message is to sign petitions, share post on social media, and most importantly educate yourself and those around you ! It has been a pleasure to provide another post for you guys and there are more on the way.
