I just found your space ikea fic, and it's wonderful overall but specifically as a former ikea coworker garak's contempt for the uniform really made it feel authentic (although I was in food so I only wore the awful yellow for a month before they made me cosplay as the swedish chef)

Controversial Opinion: I will admit that rolled fondant should not exist, but poured fondant is Good Actually

so no offense to the entire country of spain but they are my only real source of experience with fondant. and whatever they’re doing with it is...... weird. like iced cakes don’t seem to really be a spanish thing*, so when they have it available, it’s.... or more aesthetic fondant than flavor? and bad. it’s so bad. just mix cream cheese with sugar, please??

so i have to admit idk what what the difference between rolled and poured fondant is??? even thought i’ve watched like four seasons of the great british bake off. i’m so sorry. i’m a baking failure. please some back with an opinion about how making brownies and then maybe i’ll have real insight. 

THAT BEING SAID.... every experience i;ve had with fondant is horrible. i only half believe you. please mail evidence to [REDACTED]

ahsadler: I don’t honestly know a whole lot about ahsadler as a person due to the general lack of personal posts or tags, but she’s always struck me as -- like a dandelion. Not the flashiest of flowers, but tough and sweet and practical and bright. Nothing fucks with dandelions (nothing can fuck with dandelions), and they’re just plain nice.And boy howdy, does she love birds -- I’m learning a lot about birds from her blog and I enjoy that an awful lot.

You! onewug-twowugs: I’m not a linguist but I Know that your url (especially plus blog description!) is not only clever but funny. Very nice. Your interest in various languages and how they work is fascinating -- I love learning things from your blog. And you are very kind! It seems like you’re always in my inbox at times like this, pointing me to a nice Sigur Ros song or offering a few words of support. I want you to know that I definitely appreciate it.

As a semi-related aside, I love your matchy icons and all the other ways you share yourselves with one another -- except for the Diglett art you both have on the first pages of your respective blogs at the moment. That I strongly dislike. It’s no bueno.

couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library 

Anything that opens with clapping and a brass solo is in my good books, and I like the rhythm. My brain was kind of weirded out by the fact that the lyrics sounded so much like English but were still incomprehensible (except for Janelle Monáe’s shoutout, ofc), but I think if I knew Swedish I’d be downloading this song already.
