Hello! I'm looking for a ficlet I read on tumblr a little while ago, and I was hoping you might know what I was talking about. In it, Obi Wan leaves a message for Anakin in the event of his death or if he fell to the dark side (i believe), and someone else on tumblr added on an extra little bit about how obi wan didn't make a plan for if Anakin fell to the dark side and made it super angsty. It was similar to something you wrote, so I thought you might know it. If not, that's fine! Thank you!

Hi there! I am 99% sure you are talking about a post from my blog, which I was LITERALLY LOOKING AT LIKE TWO DAYS AGO. So when you sent this ask last night, I was like “Oh, I know exactly where that is! I just saw that one pop up again!” and I then proceeded to be unable to find it to save my life. Then I fell asleep. And then this morning, refreshed and full of coffee, it STILL took forever because tumblr’s search is often fairly terrible, and my blog’s tags are a mess. 

OK! Enough of my Dramatic Tale of Blog Searches, the TL; DR here is that I found it. I think this what you were looking for (or if it’s not, it’s very very very similar to what you’ve described.) 😊

OKAY, God, enough beating around the bush. This has sat in my inbox long enough while I intermittently went over the entire LotR trilogy in my head, and you didn't even give me any criteria for judging this. This is a mess from start to finish. That being said, here is...my top five list of LotR scenes...painstakingly developed by a complicated algorithm which I also developed just for you.

This has better be one hell of an argument, and I want reports on the results. XD

Aragorn singing his coronation oath. fuck, I get chills every time

Frodo, falling on his face in the dank stone tunnels of Cirith Ungol -- and landing on a bed of last year's autumn leaves. he looks up to see Galadriel smiling down at him, extending a hand, the beauty of Lothlorien behind her. he takes it, and finds himself alone...but upright again

the sequential lighting of the Beacons, across all those gorgeous vistas, accompanied by gorgeous music, concluding with Aragorn chilling with his breakfast in Rohan as he watches the sunrise

For years he was the only slightly younger than middle aged campus cop and he once went on a date with s recently graduated alum

7. What do you enjoy daydreaming about most?

My usual go-to is whatever story I’m thinking about writing at the moment! It’s like writing but less intensive and can be done as I’m trying to fall asleep. Now that’s what I call multi-tasking. XD

13. What’s your ideal summer aesthetic?

Summer ball games or being on the water, lots of fresh fruit, sitting around a fire at night with the smell of citronella in your nose and fireflies all around you. Opening the windows and the way the house smells so good. Early mornings and lingering sunsets. The way the night sky looks -- soft, almost. Lying back in the grass, listening to the birds, watching the sunlight in the leaves over your head (what a lovely shade of green that is). The silky feeling of dust on bare feet. Feeling strong and young and invincible, tempered by heat, and laughing for joy about it.

17. What is something you own that is important to you? What makes it so important?

I’m going to try to think of an answer I’ve never given before...

Oh, I have a rock I took from G______ Gulch!! You maybe remember, we all climbed that big hill with all the mining stuff set into it but I don’t think anyone else made it all the way to the top (or at least I got there first). I took a rock from up there.

It was just a good day. All of us together, doing something new and exciting and relevant to us as a family -- I was happy. And that hill was very high up and very quiet, with a good view. It made me think.
