Update on my manuscript!
I have one beta reader who finished her review yesterday, having provided great notes, and another one who was referred to me by my first beta reader and is excited to get started 🥰 So I'm beginning to feel more hopeful about this step in the process. I'm a bit tempted to push back the beta read deadline so that a good friend of mine (a voracious reader who enjoys romance novels) could hopefully help out too. But we'll see how things go in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, my next couple of novel ideas are scratching at the door of my brain and I know I need to let them in, I'm just...so overloaded already 😪 the one that got me wanting to write again early last year is VERY LOUD at the moment even though it's still super abstract. This is normal, though. I can't wait for one book to be fully finished (and ideally published) before I start another 😅 So maybe I'll mess around a bit in the coming days and weeks and see if anything sticks.
And maybe...MAYBE...I'll even finish Coming Attractions if anyone still gives a shit about it. I kinda want to be able to wrap it up so I'm not feeling continually guilty about abandoning it.
