Last recent commission. This one was more complex as I had to design a lot of details on the character from scratch. Often I get clients who don’t have solid visuals for their OCs so I have to help translate a partially formed idea into something visual.
the highlight of this one was the client being very clear that he needed stone abs and me thinking “you’re damn right he does”
My friend is running a one-shot of Open Legend and it's a Western/Fantasy/Steampunk world. I chose a pretty basic character who is like an earthbender, but when it came to the steed he is riding, I wasn't sure. Then I was reminded that this is a fantasy world so I can make up anything I want. Hence, this little (more like big) guy was born! Used references of Iguanas and some fantasy creatures to pull it together but I am quite pleased with the result. I also got to practice my painting and found some cool texture brushes in Krita!
