I rarely make such posts, but...

The difference between Oppenhimer's and Kitty's behaviour during the hearing was striking.

Men tend to take a step back when someone with more authority is being aggressive towards them, because they're just not used to it. So, Robert was worried, stuttering, and in defence mode. Sure, there were countless of other reasons for his distress, but he was intimidated and no one can deny it.

Then there's Kitty. As a woman, she's used to men looking down on her, having more authority than her. She knows she needs to stand tall and fight if she wants to be heard. When Roger Robb tries to intimidate her, he's surely not the first man to act that way towards her in her life. Hell, he's probably the fifth for the day. Big man with influence and a hefty paycheck trying to act all scary? For most women, that's another Tuesday.

Robert (like most white heterosexual men) rarely encounters such behaviour and doesn't know how to act and fight back. Kitty (like most women) deals with this bullshit on a daily basis and she's ready to meet Robb halfway, guns blazing.

Women are always ready to fight back, because we have to do it all the time.

Oppenheimer my thoughts

ok so I decided I wanted to watch the movie yesterday day and so saw it today. I had never seen the trailer I had no idea what it was about except for it was about the guy who made the atomic bomb. that's it that's all I knew ( and RDJ was in the movie but not what part ).  

so going in to this I thought ok its 3 hours and there are probably going to be some parts when I struggle to keep focused because there will probably be some dull parts. not even close to true. I was invested the entire time and on the edge of my seat. 

the sound design and music that played was amazing and well done. the visuals where clever and beautiful and fit the different parts of the movie. the choices on dialog execution where spot on and some of the dialog made me shiver and scared and the part that frightened me the most  ( out side of the ending I will get to that) was when the president of the United States was on screen.  

Oppenheimer said to the president I feel like I have blood on my hands or something to that effect and you know what the president did. he pulled out a white handkerchief and waved it at him and said the people effected are not going to care who built the bomb only who dropped it. and I dropped it that's who they will hate this is not about you. 

and just the horror I felt in that moment. the man who helped build this and ran the project is saying I feel guilt for the things it has done for the people killed because of my creation and the president said that does not matter this is not about you. he then preceded to kick him out of the Oval Office and say dont let that crybaby back. like I dont know how to properly explain what I feel other than horror. well done the writers and the directors and the actors and everyone involved in this movie because it made me feel things. 

I saw the explosion and felt nothing but amazement of the power that it held of the visuals or the explosion and the fire. then came the sound and the shaking. every thing was still and calm while the explosion was going on on screen and only had the sound and shaking of the after math after the fire was no longer truly prominent on screen and I think that was a good choice. 

There are other things I want to talk about in this movie namely the hole rest of the movie but im going to go to the ending because my heart is still racing and its been more than an hour since the movie ended. 

thought out the movie we wonder what he said to Einstein. the way it was set up leading us to believe he said something against Lewis Strauss but later find out no. it had nothing to do with you and they set it up by another character saying maybe it had nothing to do with you maybe it was for something more important. and then it shows us the conversation. Oppenheimer brings up the theory they had that this could ignite something that would never end ( as in igniting the atmosphere and killing the hole planet which was a non zero possibility ) and as Einstein is about to walk away he say remember when I brought that to your attention with the equation ( not a quote ) and Einstein says what of it? Oppenheimer replies and I quote “I believe we did” and Einsteins face goes blank and cold and he walks away as we are shown the horrors or what could happen. horrors that to this day are still a real fear and possible problem. 

this movie was incredible and I truly believe people should watch it. I think people should not trust the trailers because they are misleading on what the movie is truly about but should not hold that against the movie itself.

Here are my very late  thoughts on the hit movie Barbenhimer, released by Universal Bros.: 

-The hoinkity boinkity scenes between Barbie and Oppenheimer were entirely unnecessary but boy they made me laugh

-When Ken said "I have become death, destroyer of worlds", that was like. Powerful man. 

-When President Eiswenhower brought patriarchy to Los Alamos I was like in shock, I can't believe the movie did this

-Einstein's words to Barbie about how Matell history will be changed forever stil haunt me to this day. 

-Can't believe Midge tried to poison Alec's apple. Big villain shit right there. 

-When the founder of Barbie's ghost solved the calculation to make the atomic bomb... top ten plot twists in cinema right there. 

-The Los Alamosans and the Barrbielanders coming togetherin the end  to drop an atomic bomb on men's rights brought tears to my eye

Those were my main impressions! Fun totally existent movie that is not actually two separate movies all around. 

(These are jokes countless people have probably made by now but damn it I wanted to majke them too.)

I finally did it, I did Barbenhimer with my mom and sister. I am always so late to memes. Here are Barbie and Oppenhimer kinda sorta getting along maybe?

I saw oppenheimer yesterday im AAAAAAAAAAAA

Eeee the movie was spectacular i loved every second of it the last line OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING

and also it was so beautiful as in pictures and it showed the impact of their actions so amazingly and aaaaaaa

there are some things i understand about the "free" market. like you're supposed to hold ETFs and shit right? but yesterday AMC stock shot up like 15% because of barbenhimer weekend absolutely exploding with ticket sales. and then AMC man gets on the news like "we need to raise capital now or the company's going under". like... do you not have the ability to gain much more money now that YOUR company is worth MORE money?? idgi. i guess maybe they don't wanna dump their own stock or their majority ownership is bare or they have too much debt or something, but this shit is just unintuitive. like how is a record breaking box office weekend bad for a movie company 😆😆 wack

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." 

I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
