Something I don't understand is when people say "You can't tell an oppressed group how to fight oppression!" If we went off of that logic, then we as minorities would be allowed to do absolutely anything. We could use bigotry to fight bigotry, which a lot of us already do. We wouldn't be able to criticize a trans person for being ableist, a woman for being homophobic, a Jewish person for being sexist, a gay person for being fatphobic, a person of color for being transphobic, the list goes on and on. Using that logic that we aren't allowed to comment on how a minority group acts means that you would have to allow terfs to exist. They're women fighting oppression after all, right? But since we can't criticize any minority for how they fight oppression, it's apparently acceptable that terfs fight oppression by being transphobic. There is so much toxicity and bigotry in every minority community that to use the excuse "You can't tell us how to fight oppression!" or "You can't tell us how to protest!" is basically saying "I have a free pass to do whatever I want, regardless of how it affects others!" We don't live in a vacuum where our actions only affect ourselves. We all contribute to society and culture with what we believe, what we do. So if you're against terfs, radfems, or literally any form of oppression, please think about what you're saying when you claim that only you or people who have your identity can decide what's acceptable. We were all taught from a young age that collaborating and having different perspectives, having diversity, makes the world better. When you resort to us vs. them rhetoric, you're completely dismissing that despite supposedly being for "equality." Please stop the acceptance of bigotry and discrimination. They should never be justified no matter who it's aimed at.
