ive been listening to the latest season of invisibilia and like. a few things have rubbed me the wrong way but a chunk of it is about how the world doesnt change our emotions, we change the world (our perception of the world) through our emotions and that makes so much sense its so weird that its been backwards in my head forever. everything is projecting through established concepts and your concept of something being dangerous or your concept of the defining line between 2 things can be changed, things that feel like fact are not… that opens up so much shit about learning to control your emotions and define things with your mind instead of your feelings.. they were positing some stuff about healing from trauma through this and i dont think itll always be as simple as that, but if we start teaching our kids in this way it could certainly be applied to change prejudices and make people let go of a preconceived concept of any group
if i were 25 and became responsible for a 9-year-old i would cut off all the kid’s limbs too
"Now say something true and beautiful" Okay! Humans are disruptive energy, but a kind soul is electric.
sorry to say but thats neither true or beautiful - humans are humans and our presence is neither inherently good or bad or disruptive. Kindness is something people do and work towards consciously, not some nebulous property of an immaterial soul.
To be good and kind, people, of their own free will, decide to be that way because that is the most true and beautiful thing one can do on this bitch of an earth
