The scent of orchids is most potent @ sunrise. Orchids actually grow on trees. They don’t extract nutrients from the tree. They have aerial roots that grow around the tree truck & branches rather than burrowing down into the soil. Orchids shouldn’t B kept in direct sun because they can get sunburned. A sunburned orchid will get yellow leaves & will get brown & white splotches. It can recover by placing in a shadier place & making sure 2 keep it hydrated. An orchid takes up 2 years 2 bloom.
