I suddenly thought about Eren and Armin as Orpheus and Eurydice.
the scene at the end reminded me of the dialogue, i saw in this post on tumblr and I used the lines as reference.

eurydice, dying now a second time, uttered no complaint against her husband. what was there to complain of, but that she had been loved?
You know, I like to think that even though Orpheus turned and Eurydice went back to Hadestown, there’s still room for hope. We know Orpheus’s song touched Hades. Maybe he started to go a little easier on the workers and relaxed his policies. Maybe, just maybe, he eventually voided the workers’ contracts, allowing them to go where they pleased, but continued to offer them work. And if that were the case, maybe Orpheus and Eurydice were reunited. The fact that the musical doesn’t show what happens after allows me to envision any number of afters. I just think that’s part of its magic.
