THE OSC IS SO FUCKING WHINY ABOUT NOTHING 💔💔
I swear to god when a new bfdi or II episode comes out people ALWAYS have something bad to say about it, when BFDIE released jnj got doxxed for it! I mean I was pretty upset about it too as it was way too over hyped for an 8 minute episode but still. The fandom was complaining about TPOT being ‘angstslop’ (which I’ll get to in a bit) but when we get a weekly lighthearted season we’re making petitions to cancel it. Now to the TPOT angstslop bit; I don’t understand it AT ALL 💔 there was a huge buildup of four seasons, 15 years of bfdi, and so many character introductions to get to this arc in the story. And in my defence all this new lore is amazing! We get to theorise, make more fanart, fanfiction and other pieces of art, and come together as a fandom as one for theatre releases. Speaking of theatre releases, the fandom complains about them way too much, sure the tickets cost a lot and people can’t afford to go to all of them, but have they considered the possibility of.. not going? The episodes come out the NEXT DAY- THE NEXT DAY and yet it’s suddenly the end of the world when there’s a theatre release that’s like not in your country. We really need to realise BFDI is an indie show with a small team! It’s phenomenal for indie animation that they manage to get their show in cinemas all across America, and this is coming from an Irish osc fan btw. This also can fund the show’s production massively, where we can possibly get international screenings and tours, and more possibilities for the community.
Now onto the topic of II. I don’t get why there’s so much hate around season 4 especially, I’m not trying to be biased or anything as I am II’s #1 defender but it’s just annoying seeing fantube, payjay and the entire season itself being labelled as ‘fan service’ and angstslop. “Too many characters have had near death experiences in the span of 4 episodes!!!” Unfortunately that’s the reality of a world without Mephone4 there to revive them constantly, they’re gonna struggle, people are gonna die, that’s their new reality and the fans will have to deal with the changes of the show. From what I’ve seen payjay is constantly being bashed on for being fan service? It’s really funny really because they’re a new healthy couple of course they’re gonna be really romantic around eachother and gloat about their relationship sighs.
If you’re going to complain constantly what’s the point of being in the osc 🙁
