Rant on BFDIA 24

I would like to start by saying I loved this episode for the most part. The visuals were stunning, first only women final 2, humor was great, and story was amazing. There was one thing I didn't like, however. That thing being Jack. I don't think it made sense and was kind of disappointing.

Just visualize what could've happened. Everything stopping when the phone rang. It gets dark and its eerie. The phone repeatedly said "Follow the twin blue stars" and even Book is uneasy. Book followed them. The abandoned season 1 set. It was broken down. Like time just stopped. Ice Cube sacrificed herself to help.

Book is there, and the stars are outside of the universe? Why does BFDI need to have a multiverse? I mean, I guess out AUs are kind of canon in the BFDI multiverse? I mean it doesn't make sense. Book continues, and its Jack? A human? It's an object show, why are humans here? And no, I don't view Davidians as humans, I view them as drawings, not humans. I believe humans are fiction in the BFDI universe, kind of like how they are in II. They just added a human for no reason. I get Jack was technically in TPOT 15, but it could have worked as a universe where they made a fictional being real. The only other time he was there was a simple prank for April Fools. I also do realize it's one of their first animations, but putting it into a whole different project feels weird. Sure, I get references, but full on?

It just felt anticlimactic. Lots of things could habe been done with the stars. They made it seem so eerie in the beginning, for it just to be eyes. Also, how did it seem to be in BFDI's universe, despite being outside. I get it's fiction, but still. They could've made sentient stars, kind of like how Blackhole is a sentient black hole (dead stars). They could have done an actual interesting concept.

Anyways, these are just my thoughts. I want to say once again, I loved the episode. This is just the one thing I didn't like at all.

(This is too late but nothing is stopping me)Honestly, Tpot 23 isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be,I don’t hate it. However no matter how hard I try to like the episode, I just can’t. There is one major problem that prevents me from liking that episode, which is the inconsistency in tone. The episode feels like it’s trying to be serious but the moment it starts to get actually serious, it isn’t anymore. Like One finally shows up and it seems like it’s gonna get serious, but the next scene is a song about random silly things they found in space.

Episodes like Tpot 13, 15,and 19 showed that the writers can make a good episode with an overall serious tone without messing it up. Tpot 23 feels like wants to be taken seriously like those other episodes, but it can’t be serious for more than one scene before it cuts to something silly that ruins the tone it tries to set for itself. The pacing alone wouldn’t be much of a problem if the episode was able to stick to a tone, but because the episode can’t decide if it wants to be serious or silly, and it can’t strike a good balance, the pacing and tone switch combined just give you whiplash.

Is the episode the worst ever? No, we have early post split. Is the episode good? Debatable..

There were some things I liked about the episode, I just was disappointed with the execution of the whole thing.I liked the negative numbers, I wish we were able to explore those more it was an interesting concept but instead TB crashed out or something(I’m realizing that my memories of the episode are rather faded.), Three was my favorite part of the episode, loved getting to see Zero and Fifteen again, I liked how they collected the fallen algebraliens,at least Four got screen time even if I didn’t really like his scene that much.

I dislike the elimination but that’s the viewers’ fault, not really something we can blame on the episode. I wish that Book(She already won Bfdia,her story with price tag is interesting, but her story for Tpot is basically over.) and TB(I know I’m a Golfball glazer but TB was lowkey annoying in this episode, I can’t remember exactly what happened but didn’t he do something to zeros and fifteen that basically caused one of the most interesting concepts of the episode, the negatives, to end early?).

This is just the first episode of the trilogy, I haven’t seen Tpot 24, but I expect it’ll get better from here. I just hope the trilogy doesn’t have a “One, we can do this together, you can fix this, just apologize!” ass ending.

mephone will join the shimmers/mephone was masking their shimmer half for years

The shimmers will continue 2 search 4 their lost young and realize that mephone is the 2nd lost shimmer (as revealed last episode) upon realizing this they will get emotional and also apologize 4 what he's been through (even if it's not actually their fault they just really feel bad 4 their child) and take them in to give them the childhood they deserved. This theory ties in with some headcanons i also have.... So cobs says in a flashback (episode 13, i think) that he has no need 2 eat cause he's a machine, right? Well, not exactly, just something along those lines. That's not the case. They're half organic because they are half shimmer. They actually do need 2 eat, but cobs has literally been starving them constantly, thinking that being mostly machine means they'll never be hungry. This is part of the reason mephone thinks they're a "fat slob" and even jokes abt it 2 himself around others but thats just not the case, they quite literally are just fucking hungry. Yes, i think mephone might have an eating disorder. Speaking of shimmers, you know how the other baby shimmer, the green one, was nonbinary implying that the shimmers are a naturally genderless species? I think mephone may also be nonbinary. My evidence? Paintbrush. I think Paintbrush was made as genderless the way they were in season one because cobs thought mephone being nonbinary was like stupid and wrong or something. Mephone projects their grief into humor as their main coping mechanism. Thus, Paintbrush's gender was seen as nothing but a joke 4 a really long time similarly 2 how tissues suffering all the time is seen as a joke and gets no help by his peers which may represent how mephone never got help woth anything even when they really needed it. Paintbrush eventually coming out made mephone feel much safer, something they dont usually feel.. but not safe enough.

The contestants who died by mephone x will get recovered but they won't be completely intact

I highly doubt that everyone is going 2 die permanently. That is not in the nature of inanimate insanity. However, the show LOVESSS 2 make its fandom miserable, so these fellas will not get removed from melife without consequences. The Xed contestants may experience memory problems or will go into a full reset. To make things sadder, I feel like their brains would subconsciously remember the people they had good relationships with even though they themselves don't actually know they've met before. In other words, if anyone sees anyone they had good relations with in a past life, they will subconsciously feel comforted by their presence. Though if these fella do have all their memories intact someone like lightbulb or cheesy will trick a buddy of their into thinking they forgot everything 2 make their friends panic a little just 2 go finger guns at them like "haha got ya" making the audience freak out 4 a moment 2. Who knows, maybe our cast brought someone back wrong, and they did forget everything...

Cobs will DEFINITELY DIE

A while ago on youtube, i think either Brian or Justin made a community tab poll on how many characters would die, 2 being the most popular vote. Literally Mephone wont have a happy ending if that mother fucker doesn't die. I also think the shimmers might kill him last second. But wait! There's another character who is supposed 2 die! I think that's bow, "but Nyan bow is already dead!!" Is what u might b thinking.. and ur PROBABLY RIGHT!!! i accidentally got spoilers 4 only ONE of the permanent deaths (DONT WORRY, NO SPOILERS, YOU JUST GET A LITTLE NUDGE, THE DEATH SPOILER WAS A CONTESTANT) If im still dead set on the fact that cobs will die, it can't be 2 contestants.. at least in my head. Bow, being a ghost and already dead, knows what it's like being dead and won't mind sacrificing herself 4 her friends. Now she can go on 2 the next stage of her afterlife!

something I've noticed is that a lot of object shows that are 3D make a big deal out of being 3D. like they just put all of the focus on being 3D as if just being 3D will get them free views because historically the OSC has been starved of 3D animation for quite some time. Like buddy. I feel like you should at least put your own style into it. Just saying it's 3D isn't going to change much, all it means is that your show is animated... in 3D. There's not much of a difference between your show and the rest of the object shows in the OSC if they're not unique in their own ways.

Short thing, but am I the only one whose noticed that Bots color scheme is very similar to the Prime Shimmer Egg? Like, me and a friend did a color drop and everything, they're so similar??? Does this mean anything!??? Am I going crazy?!??

SOMEONE TELL ME I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THIS, especially since Fan and Test Tube were the ones to create Bot, and both looked after the egg, could this be like some sort of symbolism or am I over thinking it?? Shower thoughts man, shower thoughts 😭
