A rather far-fetched trope but these things don't always have to be realistic; A is a detective and B is the theif they're trying to catch. A has been neglecting their health to work overtime on the case, to the point where it gets so bad that B has to beg them to step away for a while.

Well, I crawled back defeated by how I felt. And there was Mom, just back from my brother’s.

She feels awful too.

She spent her weekend working on fiberglassing on a roof for my brother (don’t ask), and although she was careful to avoid the hottest part of the days (completely unlike me! LOL) she still got over heated.

So here we both are going “Ugh!” at the thought of the takeout she bought and just wanting to curl up.

We live our entire lives in this miserably hot and humid south and still it gets us sometimes!
