Part 1: Never say you can’t accomplish something. The picture on the left is 2011. The picture on the right is this week. While it is a huge weight loss and extreme hair color change (thanks to aging to solid white and having had naturally black hair color), it is not about just those changes. In December my bad cholesterol was ranging between 120-140. I was found to have some plaque in an artery of the heart. With a severe warning from my cardiologist I was forced to make a complete change in my eating habits and ramp up my exercise or end up on medication to avoid heart problems. Challenge accepted. Yesterday, just 2 months after the warning, my follow up with the cardiologist revealed that my bad cholesterol is now 50, Ive dropped 10 pounds and 12% body fat. The cardiologist had tears in her eyes as she said, “it’s not often I get to say to a patient that they are fixed without surgery but honey you are!” 😊 We talked for a long time and by the end of the appointment she even has me scheduled to talk to her group therapy classes. She told me most people will not change their lifestyles enough to make enough of a difference. I told her that I’m a bit of an over achiever in certain areas. She laughed and said “that might be a big understatement”. Lol Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t take control of your life, that you can’t change, that you can’t become a new you! Sure there’s wrinkles and aging. Sure there’s things beyond our control. But, we can control much more than we think possible. Challenge yourself and be self motivated! Follow through! Don’t accept defeat! You can do anything you put your mind too! #over50 #cholesterol #beachbodyondemand #cardiology #overachievers #youcandoit (at New Orleans, Louisiana) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca6f7nKuegJ/?utm_medium=tumblr
If we get more Overachievers type of stories I hope we get stuff from the targets' perspectives as well. I'd love to know how Alma operates on a mission, how Tamara became Edwards' favorite, how the Yamazaki and Morgan trials went etc. I also hope they show how Diana managed to destroy Providence, even if it's just boring paperwork. So many possibilities for stories!
Overachievers was excellent, but now that WoA is over I don’t think we’ll get another one. Maybe for the next Hitman game!
Since you read overachievers before H3, did you recognize Swan and Davenport right away? Did you say "THAT" out loud? 😂
Hahaha no, I read it when it came out 3 years ago so I didn’t remember their names. But as soon as Dolores started talking about her agent trying to copy 47 but killing everyone except the target, I was like
Dolores basically confirmed my suspicion that 47 & Diana's colleagues are hella annoyed at their perfection xD "UGH not even ONE collateral damage?! 500k per mission?! 100% clean kill streak minus Faba?! Fuck this guy"
Oh they are. You should read Overachievers :D
There's such an interesting contract between Dolores and Diana. "My shithead agent" vs. "I'll take full responsibility", not to mentioned how drunk she sounds. Our girl really was the classiest one there wasn't she...
lmao another clear indicator that Diana is in love with 47
Holy shit I never knew about the expanded universe, are there more stories???
Sadly just that one but I love it so much. It was written by Hitman Main Writer Michael Vogt and released a few years ago. I love that they made it game backstory now, with Davenport and Swan as well, etc.
