Owlbeast, ready for business! 📈
just realized I never drew the actual owl beast(s) which is surprising
This scene killed me - especially when Eda told the collector to stand back because she was certain she wouldn't be able to control herself. The animation was fucking amazing and I will forever miss this show.
Thank you Owl House.
It just hit me how old the Owlbeast might be
I’m starting to think that the Archivists sped up their collection efforts once they decided to “clean the planet and scorch the air” after facing resistance. The Owlbeast is thus one that missed being “forcefully conscripted” onto a library version of Noah’s Ark.
Its part of an entire ecosystem that no longer exists, with life replaced by things born from the titans body and earth life that came in through portals caused by its bloods. It may predate the eternal boiling of the seas if such a condition was caused by the Collectors.
The Collectors/Archivists might not even be around at this point, since they have a problem with ticking off anyone who’s potentially a threat, and might have gotten themselves wiped out for it.
...honestly a Star Trek inspired sequel examining Metroid aesthetic ruins could be a fun continuation. And imagine without maintenance the seals on other beings captured like the owlbeast start to fade at the exact wrong time.
Found some familiar faces during Eda and Lilith's witches duel. A young Alador Blight, Odalia, and Darius the future abomination coven head.
Owl House/Ice Age AU (#1)
Got another crackpot crossover AU whatever that no one at all asked for or was even in demand. Not too long ago, I had caught up w/ the latest season of Owl House (good show) and had also rewatched the first Ice Age. The episode "Eclipse Lake", to me anyways, had some thematically parallels to the first Ice Age movie. As well as the Titan blood vein caverns remaining me of the ice cave from said film: (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bjV5wZpzMQI). Having made these connections between the two, my brain immediately started concocting this AU and thoughtout (most of) the whole story. Yes I overthink stuff. What of it? So anyways, be sure to let me know what you think. Feedback is appreciated. 👍
I wonder if liliths owlbeast form is reflective of her mental health issues being worse than edas. The owlbeast form has always been an allegory to disability. I read it as mental illness in particular because it's an invisible disability and involves disconnection from one's self/loss of control.
