I wanna make a meme about one of my illnesses, but it’s such a controversial illness (bc some healthcare people are stubborn and refuse to look more into it) that it’s basically unknown to most people and no one would understand my joke :/

today is national P.A.N.S/P.A.N.D.A.S awareness day! I've lived with P.A.N.D.A.S syndrome for 10+ years now. If your child changes over night after a strep throat infection and they suddenly start showing signs of OCD, anxiety, depression, tics, motor skill deterioration or learning disorders, they may have P.A.N.D.A.S syndrome. It's essentially rhuematic fever of the brain or encephalitis. It's a lot more common that you think and it's rarely diagnosed.

I really just wanna talk about my disease and inform and educate people because it’s such a misdiagnosed disease that ever 1 in 200 kids has it but does know. but my fear is that I’ll look like I’m trying to get sympathy or that I talk too much about it and myself. man, I just want people to know what to look for because if my illness was common when I was a kid, I wouldn’t have spent 7 years of hell with it.

Anxiety Diary pt8

My brain is on fire. No really, I have inflammation in my brain. The part of my brain that controls OCD, Anxiety, depression, etc, is inflamed.

I don't know how long flare ups are supposed to last but Its been 8 days and I'm trying so hard not to give up.

My anxiety somehow lessens around 7pm so that's when I try to eat and do what I need to do but I can't get out of bed. I'm hoping by day 3-4 of treatment that this will get easier. It's hard to watch your progress when you feel like you aren't making any.

Sorry for the short post but hopefully I'll have better news tomorrow
