Again, I started preparing for the LARP game in two weeks and barely made it on time. Damn deadlines!

It also took much longer because of a few things: 1. I used the pad stitching technology for the first time 2. I decided to do many of the operations by hand, as this flock coat should look as historical as possible 3. One of the precious evenings I sat without electricity and did the pad stitches almost in the dark

But I didn’t let the difficulties break me down (at least before finishing sewing) and did everything on time. I hope I will soon post photos of the finished coat.

Don't sew at night

I have a little horror story for those who also constantly sew at night: In a dark-dark city, in a dark-dark apartment, in a dark-dark room, Anastasia was sitting and sewing a black-black frock coat ... With bare hands!!! *tam-tam-taaam* ... Because my electricity went out

Quick tip! If you're using fleece like the royalty you are and you need it to star stiff use some scrap cotton as a filler. If you want it extra stiff there's a lovely stitch you can use called a pad stitch (it's used in tailoring to stiffen lapels)

Start on the right and turn when you reach the ends. This will keep your crown stiff wash after wash!
