JULY #PALMPICKS. Although I’m not very prone to blemishes I do get the occasional breakout during the summer months so I thought it would be nice to test out this Charcoal Drying Lotion from @GeorgetteKlinger. This overnight spot treatment is made with natural minerals and exfoliating Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) to quickly unclog pores on your face, jawline, chest, and back. Here’s the active ingredient breakdown: - Salicylic Acid begins by dissolving pore-blocking buildup of dead skin cells. - Absorbent Activated Charcoal instantly draws out grease, while Zinc Oxide and Sulfur work deep to eliminate impurities and control excess oil. - To calm the newly purified pore, cooling Camphor and soothing Calamine treat visible signs of irritation, inflammation, and sensitivity. - Clarifying White Willow Bark minimizes redness and tightens the look of pores. - This product does contain grain based alcohol because of its astringent, drying and antimicrobial properties, and its ability to kill acne causing germs and bacteria. Glycerin and Calamine were added to the formulation for their moisturizing and soothing properties so as to not over dry. - I did notice a blemish or 2 starting earlier this week so I immediately applied this and saw very little sign of it the next morning. The only downside was that the alcohol is a bit strong so it did make my eyes water when applied to areas near the eyes. However, I didn’t notice any signs of dryness of irritation as a result so use at your discretion. 🧠 I don’t know about you but I can get some pretty intense brain fog so I was excited to see the Lypo-Speric™ R-Alpha Lipoic Acid supplement from @livonlabs included in the May #palmpicks from @joinpalm. I chose this @honeyandbedaily rose quartz facial roller as my recent @joinpalm #palmpicks and couldn’t be happier. I already have a jade roller but had been looking for a rose quartz version based strictly on aesthetics so I was happy to see it in the December selections. The packaging on this is adorable and I love that it has its own little sachet for travel.
