Happy Winter solstice to all my fellow witches out there! ❄ ✨🌛
Enjoy the magic of the longest night of the year.✨
My solstice is very casual this year. I made some soup for a sick friend, lit some candles and placed them in the window, meditated a bit and than I prepped my 13 wishes for the Raunächte-Ritual. For those who are not familiar with this ritaual: You write down 13 wishes for the next year on 13 pieces of paper, put them in a jar or a little bowl and burn one of them each night on the 12 nights between the 24th of december and the 5th of january without reading them again. On the last of the Raunächte (january the 6th) you onfold the last piece of paper - that's the one wish you yourself have to ensure to fulfill while the others will be taken care of by the universe.✨
It's a lovly little tradition and it helps me to think about my goals and hopes for the next year.đź’•
Tip: you probably shouldn’t record yourself hexing someone.
If it isn’t obvious, it’ll bear more repercussions to than if you don’t. Esp since certain witches love to drag down those who hex for whatever reason.
Tutorials are appreciated though, as long as you aint performin the real deal on someone while u do it!
Using Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for Bibliomancy never disappoints.
I asked how my Ostara would go.
"I said you looked like an egg, Sir," Alice gently explained. "And some eggs are very pretty, you know "
Was my response.
I just ordered book plates for the first time. Is there any way I can use these as a sort of protective amulet for the books they're put in?
*rubs hands together in glee*
Absolutely! You can write a sigil on it either taking up the whole thing or just a corner or edge - or write a different sigil in each corner. You can write a spell of word(s) smack in the middle, below your name written on the bookplate, around the outer edges of the bookplate, or whatever else. You can use a pen charged for spell use and/or ink of the properties you wish to imbue in this protective amulet (generally speaking, this would be the color, but if you have a dip pen or a WinkPen you could use inks derived from plants or such). Dab it with an essential oil you associate with protection. Skip the pens and inks and trace your sigil in essential oil. Place a stone atop your pile of brand new bookplates under the moon to charge them.
Honestly the list goes on and on. I hope this list inspired you and gave you some of your own ideas. :3
My paper cleansing method
Take a piece of paper. Bonus points if it’s used and you were about to throw out, even more if you found it not being recycled (>:( litterbugs)
Press it to what you’re cleansing (your body, a crystal, etc)
Visualize the bad gunk going into the paper, and let it absorb it
When the paper feels heavy with energy and the object feels light, pull the paper away and crumple it up. You have some options with what to do next to expunge the energy.
Throw it behind you and don’t look back
Tear it up
Dunk it into a recycling bin
Burn it
Bury it
Let the wind sweep it away
Let it dissolve in water
Plant it on whoever you hate most
Any ideas you see fit? Comment it!
Sigil for rain in the amazon
I found a mini wand for my travel altar!
Twigs work just as well as an elaborate, carved stick!
I also found a rose petal and a replacement feather :3
