last song | the new basement tapes' when i get my hands on you! this was in people we meet on vacation and i recognized the singer immediately - MARCUS MUMFORD'S VOICE IS GLORIOUS - and i've listened a lotttttt since.
currently watching | ncis! ellie came back last night for a oner. marcus mumford's armchair expert episode! jonathan groff's installment of the web series celebrity substitute! found, adored, and have been repeating this vid a bunch!
all credit to Aphrodite on youtube!
currently reading | i just finished kate quinn's latest, the astral library! i was about halfway through when i realized it's meant to be magical realism, thus explaining the page count staying in the two hundreds while most of the sentences were 25+ words long. still awesome, though! also, the entire time i was reading, i had you're never fully dressed without a smile from annie in my head -- the main male character's name is beau, he's a fashion designer, and his atelier is brummell's! i was wondering why this sounded familiar and -- TA DA!
currently craving | nerds gummy clusters! i made my way through both packs i bought a few weeks ago and i reallyyyyyy need to get some more. they're my new obsession! i've alwaysssss loved nerds - like, since i was in preschool, but i tended to stay away from them and pick other candies because my spastic self inevitably ended up dumping half the box on the floor and down my shirt instead of in my mouth. gummy clusters solve my physicality woes and deliver my beloved sugar rush back to me after multiple decades.
coffee or tea | literally anything caffeinated is my absolute kryptonite! i adore arizona green iced tea, fully leaded peach snapple, starbucks chais with oat milk, and coffee with so many insane creamer varieties it's ridiculous!
last dream | honestly, i have so much trouble getting to sleep that it's usually like falling off a cliff and i remember nothing in the morning. usually, the ones i do remember have me in imminent yet interesting peril; i wake up before i perish! or i bond with a celebrity i enjoy!
last good advice i got | 'sixty minutes, once, might make a core memory. whatever happens, though, you'll still be breathing and everything you were at the start.' -
last fic read [in memory of the 2026 ao3 disaster] | a reread of @paperclipbitch's superb the needle and the thread, the sally sparrow/larry nightingale snippet of my dreams! i reread every few months.
